You need to tell your boss that you are eating and the times you want to eat.

I was in construction for 5 years, and I never missed a meal.  I would drop my tool belt and eat.  If your a hard worker he shouldn't mind.

Gonna b working kinda manual labour over the summer hols so i can eat but it wont b exactly wen i might want to.

heres diet plan for myself, bulking over summer. 6'1 abou 180+lbs

Meal1. 4 egg omlette multi vit....orange juice/Tea. 10-12 egg white omlette w/2 yolks, 1-2 c steel cut oats & tea

Meal2. Baked potato with tuna/cottage cheese. cut of steak & sweet potato

Meal3. 2 cans tuna+either salad or brown rice. or both. cut of steak & brown rice

Training-followed straight away by whey shake with water. whey+dextrose+creatine cocktail (right after training)

Meal4. Watevas ther for evening meal, steak/potatoes or salmon and veggies etc. chicken breast, white rice & veggies (hour or so after PWO shake

Whey protein shake before bed with milk. Another multi Vit salmon, 2-4 tbsp all-natural peanut butter, tbsp Udo's/flax seed oil

+ While i am at work i am having shake containing pint and a 1/2 of milk, milk powder,3 scoops progain weight gainer+2 scoops ice cream.
This will be sipped between meal one and meal2, and between meal2 and meal 3.
+about 2 litres of water drunk each day.

I recommend that concentrate you try and stick to your meal plan having a meal every 3 hours or so.

Have you worked as a laborer before?

When I did dig ditching/landscape demolition, I did not have the time/desire to snack or sip a protein drink between meals.

Realistically, you should:
1. eat breakfast at say 6:00
2. meal #2 @9:00
3. meal #3 as lunch @12
4. pre-workout shake @3 when you get off
Train
5. post-workout shake immediately after training
6. meal #4 an hour after PWO shake
7. meal #5 before bed

HEY MAN,  I'M A PIPELAYER SO I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL.  YOUR PLAN LOOKS GREAT, THE ONLY THING YOUR MISSING IS A GALLONOF WATER.  I ALWAYSTAKE GOOD SOURCES OF PROTIEN, CARBS, AND FATS,
THAT I DON'T HAVE TO HEAT UP. MOST OF THESE ITEMS I CAN EAT IN 1 MINUTE OR LESS WHILE I'M WORKING.  IF YOUR FOREMAN IS NOT A DICK,  TELL HIM YOU NEED A FEW MINUTES EVERY COUPLE HOURS TO FUEL UP.  I HAVE NOTICED IN CONSTRUCTION,  BIG,STRONG, MOFO'S ALWAYS GET PAID BETTER, AND GET PROMOTED FASTER.  YOUR BOSS SHOULD BE GLAD YOU ARE GETTING STONGER.
IT WILL MAKE YOU A BETTER ASSET TO HIS JOB SITE. PEACE.

Thanks guys.
Adonis i know what u mean but this wont always be realy labour intensive, as far as labourign jobs go. So i think i can sip at a shake between meal (hope so anyway),im gonna try it and c how it goes.

PVCJOCKEY Well i should be working with mates so it shouldnt b too bad?! I am gonna be taking alot of water with me, after iv had sip of sjake between meal im always gonna wash it down with few gulps of water.

Hopefully should end up being 4 or 5 FOOD meals a day+weight gain shake sipped at throughout day+on gym days there will b 2 whey shakes aswell.
