Title: Smith Machine Squats
Post by: littleguns on May 12, 2006, 08:06:05 AM
I have a home Smith Machine that has like a 7 degree angle facing inward.

When it comes to squats, form and such is it better to squat facing inwards or outwards?

Thanks in advance

The Smith machine at my gym is like that too; I squat with the angle facing inwards only for the fact that it is the side that faces the mirror.  I suppose it puts a little more emphasis on the quads but may also be harder on the knees...

you can do it either way... where the angle is away from you, it's more like regular squats... if the angle is toward you then you can do front squats
