if you can still do cardio after a leg day you did not train hard enough go back and try again.

OMG..i was gonna post the same topic!

When i have SOME energy left after legs, I do it..20 min on the bike and 10 min on the treadmill..most of the time just 20 minutes though...I think its beneficial as you have depleted all your glycogen stores from your grueling leg workout, and doing cardio after legs will tap into your fat stores for energy more than usuall imho..

As long as you have some caffeine/ephedrine during the workout  ;)

How do you guys feel sore right after a leg workout  ???

Maybe tired, and gimpy..dont get soare till the next day,,,

next day is little sore but day after is the bear for me.thus my handle "always sore"

Yes the 2nd day is the worse..but sometimes it goes on for the week!
I can only train them once a week, bc they are sore for at least 5 days.. Anyone here trian legs twice a week? I couldnt imagine that. :o

i don't think anyone can train them right and train them more than once every 5 days, at the most.

agree, I hit them once a week.
I tried to to them 2 times a week but I was always training like a pussy the second time so it's not a good idea for me

some split thighs and hamstrings, and hitting calves twice a week is do-able.  But I don't even think that most pros, with their genetics/diet/gear, can tolerate doing squats or heavy leg press twice a week.  CNS just couldn't recover.

besides if your working heavy for back and chest/shoulders you would be wiped out (plus most of us have full time jobs and familys)

yep. Toss in deadlifts, heavy benching, shoulder and arm days, no way could a person do legs twice and still grow.

Now a female doing lighter leg presses and leg ext could probably go twice a week.

For myself that would be a no! Are you kidding me? After bustin' my ass on my quads the LAST thing I wanna think about doing is the Stepmill or Treadmill.

I break legs up into 2 workouts a week, that way I can hit every part hard. And yes, I will do mild cardio the night that I did legs. I do it at home, before bed, on my stationary bike. That's only when I'm dieting though, and little to no resistance.
