:o
So...the judges decided to spice things up a bit.
Is Valerie "signed" yet? ;D I'd have to double-check the records, but I believe this is the first time a non-JMP competitor has won a figure show when there were other JMP competitors competing. That's good for the sport.

Congrats Valerie!!! ;D

I called it! Valerie rocks...and deserves the win!

Slight correction - it's good for the sport when the BEST competitor wins, period.
I don't think that JMP competitors should be marked down 'just to make things look better'...that's nuts.
Like I said, though, the conspiracy theorists can make no claims about the (women's) Colorado Pro event. At any given event, the top 5 should look exactly as it did with Val on top and at least one relative unknown included if she's in shape and has earned it.
What a terrific show - I'm already excited about next year.

Yes, but who is the "best" in any given figure competition is HIGHLY subjective. It's not about JMP competitors being marked down. You are right, that WOULD be nuts. Besides I wouldn't want that to happen to the women who are with JMP who I am a big fan of.
You usually have a few ladies who are clearly out of the running for first place when they step on stage, and the rest look great. When you have the judges form a consensus that the JMP competitor was the best at every competition for three years running, that begins to look suspicious in the eyes of many. Ask fans of Monica Brant.

Valerie looks great. I've always thought her physique was tops! :)

I met val at the arnold during a photo shoot with FitWings. She seemed very nice. Congrats to her.

Has anyone seen the rest of the results for figure? I would like to know all the placings. Not just 1-5.
