Title: Ashes to Ashes

What's your take on cremation vs. burial?  I don't want my wife to have to worry about where to bury me or deal with the hassle of funeral arrangements.  I'd just rather donate all that's good in my body for people on the donor's list, and then be cremated. 

My mom freaked out when I told her this year's ago.  She said that was wrong.  But I pointed out to her that several places in Scripture, we are referred to as "ashes and dust".  Plus, I told her I'll be long gone from my human body. 

What's your take on it?

Man I completely agree.  I'm going to be cremated.  I don't want my family spending money on me years after I'm dead.

I don't think it's a religious thing at all.  Or at least it shouldn't be.

Burn baby Burn and rest in an urn!  Who cares what happens to your body...  you can't take it with you.  As far as as "God" goes does the Bible say anything about it directly like:  "Perserve your body after death or you'll go to hell"?

i dont even want the urn.  The house allready has too much crap in it
