i'm told i've been over training and that's why i'm not gaining anymore since i started in the gym...so i curbed alot of sets out of my routines in order to hit it hard but still grow and not over do it..so here's my chest routine for today...
flat bench: 12x235x1,10x275x1,8x300x1
incline: 10x225x1,10x255x1,8x275x1
dumbbell flys: 12x50x1,10x60x1,8x80x1
more than enough? or more? ??? i'm thinking of throwing in some machine work..like a machine press for 2 sets of 10 with 280

used to be 5 bench, 4 incline, 4 flys, 3 on the press machine and then whatever else i felt like...
could be why benching over 350 got harder and harder? ??? i can do more..i could throw in 315 for 4-6 reps instead of just 300 but i'm trying to work the 230-300 range with EASE before starting to warm up with 250 and progressing from there....
make sense?

Going to failure might help (might not be stressing enough fibers), or you could try some shocking priciples.
good call thats what i was going to say....if you have a partner get him to get ya 2-3 forced reps and hit up some super sets and remix some shit up and you'll grow.

well after being told i've been over training i cut down all last week to see if i'd benefit this week..
and i did...actually...
my day ended with 8 reps of 315 on the flat bench where i'd usually only get 4-6
and instead of 4-6 or even 8 reps with 80 on the flys i got 12
i told myself to stop even when i didnt feel the need....after one last set of HSM presses...i got 12 reps with 280 with no problems and decided to call it a day
was it in my head? or was i really hitting it too hard?
