They have a 100MB limit. :(
Any recent pix of him out there? What does he look like now? Still training and juicing?

Saw him at the Olympia in Las Vegas last year. He is a personal coach in Palms Springs. Looked relatively slim (around 230). His girl friend was quite pretty. He is still having some problems with his legs.
-
doing squats at a photo shoot and his patella tendon gave out and then the quads in the other leg all ripped.
massive rehab he had to go through
i think he competed once after the accident

Actually, JP's best shape onstage was the 1997 Mr Olympia where he placed 7th. IMO, he could have been Mr Olympia if he had brought his ab distention under control and improved his conditioning (his achilles heel) a fair bit. He was actually ill in the few weeks prior to the 99 Mr Olympia and he looked horrible in it - his face, (especially his eyes) looked pretty f*cked up. He had no weak points and was a bit like Ronnie, in that he had a lot of very freaky looking bodyparts. Too bad he had that career ending injury :'(

Flex magazine said he's a successful personal trainer now.
He was big but his gut and belly-button looked like a beach ball with a softball on it. Not nearly enough detail/seperation either . . .

Retard photographer egging him on. No bars in place to stop the weight if it was to much etc

and he agreed not to use spotters

He was on the bottom of the squat rack , right next to the safe gaurds he took off..
-
not using a spoter on a 695lbs squat....priceless
there's always a lesson to learn, when EGOS get on the way
-

True but Lund has a history of people being injured on his shoots. Not saying it wasent Fux's fault but I know if I was a photographer I would at least know some kind of limit or have safety in mind in some way ( bars in the cage ).

Here's how Jean-Pierre remembers the accident. "We'd worked up to seven plates on each side. That weight is not a problem for me -- I had done the same thing a week earlier for my training video. I began to squat down and everything was fine. Then in a split second, I went from complete comfort to collapse. My knees just went -- I crashed down so quickly the spotters didn't have time to react. Afterward, they felt bad about it, but it was so quick, nobody could have caught the weight."
According to this quote, Jean-Pierre had spotters but they weren't in the pic and the accident happened too fast for them to react. It wasn't stupidity on Jean-Pierre's part, it was just a freak accident. They happen.

He's named Jean-Pierre, for God's sake.

I know JP and he is a very successful trainer in Palm Springs California. He and his girl both came out to the Colorado Pro when they were on their way to Aspen last month. And they were also at the Junior Cal in Pasadena on Saturday. He is in great shape carrying a lot of upper body size but sadly still walks with a limp. You will probably next see him attending the Olympia.
