I think he has a great shot this year. His quad sweep was monster status in those recent pics. Will do alot for his look from the front.

I doubt any Vegas sports book will even give odds on the Olympia contest. If Ronnie shows up, he wins - even if he has Kuato growing out of his stomach.

This has always been this way when they have guest posed at the Atlantic States---Jay always looks better. This year though, Ronnie looks better at this time of year than he usually does. But I have to say that anyone can be beat, and Jay might be able to stop a record breaking 9th win.

It is obvious at 100 percent Ronnie is better than Jay. But with the tears and his age I think Jay can beat him.
Cutler got his back on par to Ronnie for sheer size. NOw if he can get it dry with the added quad sweep and upper chest he is a real threat to topple Ronnie

You forget that it is really, really difficult to dethrone a reigning Mr.Olympia.
Jay Cutler needs to be significantly better ... and it just won't happen.
His waist is too wide and his back is still not detailed enough to pull an upset.
He'll be sitting backstage after the contest moping with his usual frown just like every year.

This is like debating whether The Ultimate Warrior has the grappling strength to contend with Nikolai Volkoff. The judges will give Ronnie the symmetry round even if he shows up with only one arm - if the IFBB powers determine it to be expedient. And while they wouldn't let a woman eclipse Haney's record, I'm sure they won't mind giving Ronnie that golden handshake.

Jay has backed off of his leg training the past few years, he's stated this year he will focus more on them than in the past. I believe this was due to an injury of something.

That may have been a year ago. If you look now, Jay's back has come a long way. But he's also focusing more on his quads so he says. He's not dropping his back focus.

It's going to be interesting to see if bounces back from the torn tricep, but I don't think he will. It's thrown his symmetry off and it's time for him to hang it up. Granted last year you could really argue either way, but I'd hate to see Jay get screwed like in 01.

yes but rumor has it that Ronnie stays clean quite a few months out of the year and Jay NEVER comes off--EVER...So jay will look about the same as he does in his guest posing except a better tan and about 4% leaner where Ronnie will look totally transformed from most of his guest posing through out the year and come in harder then Jay as usual...

Jay will not win. If anything he deserves 3rd or 4th place. Dexter looks a million times better than the refrigerator that is known as Jay Cutler. I have never seen the man with anything close to striated glutes, his lower back is always watery and flabby in contest, and his face is perma-bloated despite being 3% bodyfat. He's never really peaked... He's lost.

Jay has a better bone structure than Ronnie. Ronnie has massive amounts of muscle that mask his bone structure. At a lighter weight he gets destroyed by someone like Arnold who pound for pound looks better because of his more aesthetic bone structure.
Jay does appear to have a wider waist in certain poses but hey nobody is perfect right. I think he has other positive attributes such as muscle shape, overall muscle balance, good overall proportions and muscle mass.
As far as his bloated face - I'd take Jay's face over Dexter ANYDAY. You have to be crazy to call him out on his face and not remark on that Ninja Turtle with his massive noggin.

98 Ronnie is still a lot bigger than 220 lbs Ronnie. Go look at some pics of 220lbs Ronnie and compare them to 220 lbs Arnold. Arnold looks bigger at that weight because he has a better bone structure w/ smaller joints.

Jay's head being huge is a fact! There's nothing immature about it. King Kamalis is another gigantic creation of skull matter as well. Judging Dexter's attractiveness, and comparing it to that of a Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle is being immature. Even if I don't completely disagree with you.
Arnold looked big because he had no legs, and was way out of proportion. All the weight was up top. The only thing that has ever impressed me about Arnold were his pecs, and his biceps to a lesser extent, even though they were completely different on each arm.

I hope Jay wins. He is one of the only guys who can match Ronnie size for size. Jay brought a great package to the O last year and while Ronnie keeps getting worse and worse by loosing all of his striations Jay keeps getting better and better. Who would have thought 5 years ago that Jay would be beating Ronnie from the rear? No one.

Now over the last 20 yrs....Lee Haney, Dorian and now Ronnie when has the current Olympia ever been defeated? Hasn't happened and WILL NOT happen unless Ronnie does not show up.

The real question is...will the new judging criteria prevail? Smaller aesthetic bodies or will it still progress towards the Mass monsters...

LOL! But it makes him look as tall as Ronnie. Take a straight shot and see the 3-4 inch difference. So... you have almost the same weight as Ronnie on a shorter frame....which means a bit of blocky.
It's funny that Jay and some of the others guys said last yr they knew it was over when Ron took of his sweatsuit. That's Ronnie's comp talking about him! Do you (all) really think Ronnie will BS for #9 and record? He'll work his way through the injuries...just like he has always. Give the man credit.

Ronnie brings a mountain of muscle, but his conditioning hasn't been spot on since his Arnold Classic win. Jay is catching up size-wise, and his conditioning is much better than big Ron's. But, I'll agree with the masses..politics play a HUGE role, and until Ronnie steps aside, he will be crowned Mr. O. If it weren't like this, Jay would have been Mr. O in 2001 (he absolutely smoked Ronnie) and Levrone would have been in '02 (Jay skipped it, and that was Ronnies worst appearance as Mr. O by far).

lol. ;D That about sums it up. I'm not a fan of Cutler's physique. Too blocky IMO. I'd rather see someone like Dexter pass him up.
Ronnie does have a huge gut in that picture, but I agree with those who say the only way he doesn't win is if he doesn't show up. I doubt Cutler can compete with the "lights out" back poses. Even when Ronnie is a little off, it's basically over whenever he turns around.

I think it would be better for the sport if Dexter won but at what expense? Lets face it BB would benefit from Dex winning because it could open the door for smaller guys to do well. I think the general public can identify with guys like Dave henry, dexter, Dugdale and Heath but BB will always be a cult sport and if the core guys want to see a mass monster win..well you're splitting hairs, you can't please everyone. If you alienate your core audience then your shooting yourself in the foot.
