When I met Cutler at the Arnold, He was as always a Gentleman, and in my opinion, He looked so confident that this year will be the year that he finally kicks Coleman's ass. Coleman is almost a decade older than jay, and I dont think coleman will have it together comes Olympia. I told jay that, I'll be there cheering for him. Go Get Coleman
-
Jay will win 01, 02, 03, 04, 05 and now 06
Now over the last 20 yrs....Lee Haney, Dorian and now Ronnie when has the current Olympia ever been defeated? Hasn't happened and WILL NOT happen unless Ronnie does not show up.
Ronnie will win!
The real question is...will the new judging criteria prevail? Smaller aesthetic bodies or will it still progress towards the Mass monsters... ::)
-
I'm just ready to see some excitement from this sport. I hope an upset will stir things up for good this time
-
Yes, we know - EVERY year is the year Jay gets Ronnie. I love Jay as much as the next guy but I just don't see The King being dethrone.

He was damn close last year, who's to say he couldn't? He continually gets better and better.
-
Time will tell. I like Ronnie but let's face it; the Olympia has been a bore-fest for decades. An upset would get things moving a little
HUGEPECS, don't you know that when you're taking a pic with Jay you're supposed to wear a shirt that says "shut the f*** up and train"
Then again, there's always photoshop 8)
-

The powers that be. You've followed the Olympia in the past right?
-

Bodybuilding isn't a real sport. The results are predetermined ;D
-
Jay looking blocky as usual + wrestling-style IFBB agenda = hopefully Coleman's final victory lap.

LOL...I'LL WEAR ONE NEXT TIME

I'd rather see Ronnie win. He has like 2 inches and 20-40 lbs of muscle on Jay that I can't see him overcoming. People are so used to seeing Ronnie they sometimes forget about how great he really is. He dwarfs Jay plain and simple. They're both great people and champions so I hope they both do their best, but my vote still goes to King Coleman.
Jay's day will come - but 2006 is Ronnie's year

Exacly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Ronnie has one arm of normal size and one arm appearing to be ran over by a train.
-
I've been saying that "this is Jay's year " for the past 4 years or so , now that I saw a pic of both Ronnie and Jay guest posing not too long ago ...I'm more confident than ever that Jay will finally win. ;) He's gonna knock the champ out... ;) he's that good.
-
Ronnie doesn't have a 20-40 pound advantage on Jay anymore I don't think. He's certainly bigger but I think the size difference is more like 10 lbs.
I think Ronnie looks terrible now, not what my idea of Mr. Olympia should be.
-
Hear the exact same shit EVERY year and get the same results EVERY year. No different in 2006.

I don't see why it would not be possible. He's as big as Ronnie ....better conditioning at this point and no gut...
-
Ronnie brings it every year....he's always prepared.....he's always markedly better than the other competitors....Jay excluded. Jay can take Ronnie only if he comes in at least 20-40% better than Ron. You can't match the champ, you certainly can't "come close", you gotta destroy Mr. Olympia......some far he's matched Ronnie in 2001 and last year IMHO.....this year he'll have to wipe him out to take the crown otherwise Big Ron will repeat for a 9th title.
-
Freeman is going to be a Silent giant - Believe that - AT the show he guest posed with Coleman on MAy 15th and the crowd was stunned that at 310 off season compared to a ronnie at 290 off season - Freeman is going to be doing damage.

We do see some effort by the IFBB to reward aesthetics in the smaller shows....so that is good.
But the MONSTER Show is the Olympia.
Thats when the T-REX'S Show up and destroy the smaller carnivores...it will always be that way.
-

Because he's not put together as well as Ronnie, point blank.
Ronnie's 270 just looks better than Jay's 270. That being said, Ronnie is getting old and has suffered some pretty obvious injuries this offseason. Maybe this is the year that time catches up to big Ron. Should be interesting.

Freeman is crazy built for his height. But when the bones are long its hard to get that fullness that a shorter man gets. He'll have to gain 30lbs of muscle at least. The overall number doesnt matter, shawn ray dwarfed alot of superheavy's.

Who cares what his conditioning looks like in June? Come Olympia time Ronnie will nail it, and I wouldn't criticize Ronnie's gut and then just ignore Jay's.

I agree. I have met Freeman and he's a nice guy, but he always looks much better off season when he's carrying more weight on his frame. When he diets down it takes away that illusion.
-
Freeman at 300 on stage is Reality and that will be 30 pounds - no one dwafts him - he is bodybuilding , HIs parts are not weak or unbalanced. HIs waist is as small as Melivin and he is as big as Ronnie and his leg development is amazing for his height or any height. He has been overlooked and now they are looking -

Freeman has the best structure of anyone competing today. If he ever manages to really fill out he's unbeatable IMO.
-
Freeman at the O = 18th
-
Freeman at the O = 18th
Which is total bullshit, you realize M.O.S.
-
All I am saying is with alot of pros structures being flawed - Freeman brings it and does it with class. Troy Alves has not recovered from finshing behind him and he has beat some of your named athletes at the big shows-
Alves
Henry
Dareem amd Melvin both had a look on their face " get the big man away from me"
Freeman is a breath of fresh air along with Phil for some new champions and New Attitudes
-
some people say his past as an exotic dancer might be holding him back from placing better, but I'm not so sure - it didn't stop Wheeler from doing well. Then again, Flex never won the O . . .
-
When it comes to beating a Champion you have to KNOCK THEM OUT so there are no questions
Flex - NEVER KNOCKED DORIAN OUT - he won but almost doesn't count
Kevin , Shawn , Flex , Jay - Have all taken a kink out of ronnie's armour but none of them have KNOCKED HIM OUT
The closest was FLex in 98 cause it was for the title.
-

totally agree with you besides Cutler this is the guy i'd most like to see as the next Mr. O, 6'2" 280 onstage, what a bb'er should be.
-

I don't see a lot of difference between him being an exotic dancer vs. getting on stage in a thong all oiled up and flexing for people to a choreographed routine, so I don't know how they could justify holding that against him.
-

A freeman-Schlierkamp one-two at the Olympia would be awesome. Gunter looked like a giant at the 2005 Olympia, absolutly dwarfing the other athletes for height it was incredible. Imagine two such monsters!
Very marketable too - same as Ronnie vs. Jay, but they're taller
-

Yep. he reminds me of Dillet without the grotesque viens and down's syndrome posing.
-
I will say that IF, and I stress "IF", Jay does beat Ronnie at this year's Olympia I believe it will be a much bigger upset than when Gunter beat him in '02. Imagine Ronnie on the verge of number 9 only to be stopped cold!
-
He's the new paul dilett
-
Maybe what HUGEPECS meant by the title of this thread is that Jay is ready to be more upset by being robbed of the title then any other robbed competitor has been. :'(
-
Ronnie has one arm of normal size and one arm appearing to be ran over by a train.
and he looks wayyy worse than the 97 yates with one arm.
-
do i think ron will lose the O to jay? NO
should he... probably
-
The man works so damn hard he will not be denied this year. He's beat the champ before but this year hes gonna knock him out. I know its tough to believe but ronnie is OLD now and his armor is piercing.
-

TO ALL OF US, BODYBUILDING FANS, DONT YA'LL THINK IF JAY UPSET RONNIE, IT WOULD BE THE MOST EXCITING THING IN BODYBUILDING, AND MAYBE THIS SPORT WILL ATTRACT NEW FANS. IT'S TIME THE IFBB STOP ROBBING US, THE TRUE FANS
-

Strange muscle shapes that don't blend particularly well; good structure I don't think so.
-
hahahaaha
-
Which is total bullshit, you realize M.O.S.
Oh yeah, no bullshit on my last post, Freeman gets regularly screwed for no reason; although, the sad truth is placin outta the top 15 is probably instore for him....it isn't fair, it just is......he's a top 10 guy in my book.
-
Freeman gets regularly screwed for no reason;
him and your mom both

I would love to watch an olympia with those 2 dwarfing the whole lineup especially if they both came in ripped, how could you not give them 1-2 8)
-

You talking about THIS Toney Freeman? If so you need to get your eyes checked dude
-
I dunno...
Why shouldn't this guy beat Ronnie?
He's got a better physique today IMO. More complete.
He needs to come in tight.
But none of that gut which killed Dennis James when trying to going after the big guns.
YIP
Zack

Cutler or Freeman, Zack?
-
how can you compare this guy to paul dillett? dillett was ten times better
-
How was Dillet Better than Freeman his presentation was worse than a first year National competitor! Freeman brings class. Cutler is consistent. Gunter brings marketable direction and a hint of Arnold. Ronnie is King - he needs to be knocked out on stage the day of the Olympia - Not almost , not kind of , not in someone's opinon - FLAT OUT KNOCKED OUT - if not it will be number 9.
If you want to make it interesting - Ask Coleman to come back in 2007 and defend his title against a New Mr. Olympia.
Let it be a Free for ALL - MR. O vs. Mr. O
Pay the man $110,00.00 to Guest pose and then give him a year to rest and prepare for a show down with the 2006 Mr. Olympia and the rest of the gang
Then all mouths will shut and wallets will open !
-
Cutler is consistent.
Consistently second.
Cutler needs unprecedented development in his traps, lats, and bis to beat Coleman. Given that these two guys are pretty much maxed out on their genetic potential, and it's just a game of conditioning, it ain't gonna happen gentleman.

Like Ronnie is going to BS around for #9. Light weight!
-
the only reason Ronnies 270 looks better than Jays is the fact that Ronnie is 4" taller. Every ich is supposed to be 15lbs of muscle, so i think it would be better to compare Ronnie at 270 to jay at 250-255 or so. jay dominated him in 2001 and there is simply no denying that from anyone
