The Atlantic City Pro may be the best show yet !!!
Not production wise or money or any of that promotion stuff that keeps alot of you up at night . But in terms of what is at stake and who is going to be there. It will be the last show before the Mr. Olympia (well that and some show in Spain).Plus alot of people who qualified for the O are going tobe in tip top shape so participating in the show is only a win-win situation. Nevertheless that weekend is sure to be intense none the less!! More than likely you will see Markus Ruhl, Johnnie Jackson and the man himself...straight outta England's Temple Gym and the watchful eye of Dorian Yates .... may I introduce to you the Atlantic City Pro Champ !!!

The competition might be a little too strong for Chris there. However, I think he would have an excellent shot at the Croatian Pro Invitational.

If everything goes as planned i will be at the atlantic city pro, see Cormier win. Then not long after be flying out to vegas and then watch Cormier place top 3 at the O if not win 8)

No competetion is too strong .... the only lineup that would be is one that consist of 74 Arnold, 88 Haney, 98 Ronnie, 93 Flex, and 83 Samir... but when i last checked , none of them knew Dr.Emmitt Brown and had his delorean to boot !

I doesn't really travel back in time. They just pretended that it did for the movie.

Good luck to Stokley and Paul with this show. I hope it is as successful as a pro bodybuilding show can expect to be these days.

paul usually puts on very good shows,i didnt know stoke was teaming up with him,thats cool though.is stoke doing the nats still to try to turn pro?he must have some of the hugest arms around imo,pro or amature for that matter

Ok, there's no website (which is a mistake), but the basic contact info for the promoters is available on the IFBB's site:

It looks like there will be $30K for the men, $10K for the women bodybuilders, and $10K for women's fitness...no pro figure.
If the past several years are any indication, though, the timing of this event - just one week prior to the Olympia - could be a hindrance. They're most likely going to be relying on a high percentage of local sponsorship and fan attendance.
Atlantic City is supposedly a far more attractive travel destination now than it was 6 years ago, however, so that'll be the selling point for the out-of-town ticket buyers. I hope that all the mid-Atlantic FBB fans will come out to support them and more importantly, I hope the WOMEN show up to support the promoters, too.
I wish them all the best and hope they'll strongly consider creating an event website sometime within the next couple of weeks.

AC has come a long way since Six years ago, a couple new casinos and a new convention center has been the focus of the city's rebirth. Plus with all this Poker stuff in the last few years , alot more people have been going down there trying to be the next Phil Ivey , barry goldstein and what have you.
Where in AC is the contest going to be held?
I go regulary and (I am actually there right now for the fight tommorrow night, thats what got me thinking about the thread) ok bout to get out of the room. Peace!

I believe Stokely is planning on doing the Nats again, but I haven't talked to him recently so don't quote me on that.
Back in the mid 90's when Diamond Gym was full of top amateurs and a pros coming in and out to train, Stokely was the first dude I saw curling 225 for several seemingly easy reps in the gym. For a guy benching something like 275, that just blew my mind. That may not seem significant to many with all the pro videos of guys using crazy weight, but seeing that type of strength in person as a young guy freaked me out.

i was training off n on at daimond in the mid 90,s also,that was a very good time imo,arntz was trying to turn pro,guy ducasse would be blastin away,johnnie morant would pop in and workout,beau matlock was looking insane as well as big chuck looking like a monster at 300lbs plus,great gym but it had to be the drama gym of the decade,lol

ill be there, i used to make a living at the craps tables 6 days a week until gas prices cut to far into my profits!

i believe that will be the return of the German Beast...hopefully everything goes well for ruhl this year.
