Title: Training Serratus (on ribs)
Post by: Faust on June 12, 2006, 03:14:19 AM
Ok, most of you probably dont have this problem,

but i want to train my serratus anterior. These are the muscles under your pecs, on your ribcage.
I dont have any fat there, so you can see my ribs. It's just the way i'm build but i wanna get some flesh there.

What are the best excercises/methods according to you?

(Military press seems to hit it a bit.)

Mr Wooo is correct, either straight or bent arm pullovers with BB/DB's. Faust is also correct with regards to military presses. In fact any overhead pressing, either BB or DB, affects that region. Chins, BP's and even situps also. In fact most exercises will recuit these core stability muscles.  But the more direct affect will be from pullovers, in any form. Overhead presses and chins second choices. Good Luck.
