240 do you have a seat there ??

Will Shawn Ray come out of the cave he has been hiding in since Monday ?

I thought that the last roundtable discussion was one of the best shows they had!!!

Dan Soloman is Kicking Butt and taking names, and now he is done taking names

I didn't know Muscletech knew how to advertise in ways other than pathetic "Ad Reports".

Put Shawn Ray and John Romano on that table for a revisit of the last one!

Bravo to Dan for continuing to ask tough questions, and not playing the 'company man' role.

I wonder what they will discuss in this "roundtable".. It seems if they are stuck for a guest they will either.

1. Double up on the previous episode
2. Host a "roundtable"
3. Or revisit a prev guest ala Phil Heath & Darrem Charles..

The "roundtable" rates.....

Over the past year we've broadcasted 40 shows....featuring more than 40 guests.  We've learned that everyone enjoys something different.  There are those who enjoy hearing from the legends (Haney, Yates...).  -- There are those with an appetite for controversy (Titus, Kamali, etc..) -- There are those who LOVE the superstars (Ronnie, Jay, Flex, Dexter) -- And than there are those who appreciate hearing from the industry insiders (writers, judges, editors, promoters, publishers, etc...).  -- The response following our last "Roundtable" show was tremendous.  Thanks for tuning in...we have some terrific guests lined up for our upcoming shows.

Your show is great, I got all but the original Kamali interview on my IPOD  (shameless promo- Apple please feel free to throw some cash my way  ;) ).. 40 guests in 52 weeks is awesome. I just wanna give some feedback, thats the only way the show will be striving to meet new heights... don't settle for mediocrity.

My suggestion is.. If you're doing a "round table".. list an agenda.. Give us a reason to tune in rather than taking for granted that you'll have the listeners.. The show may end up brilliant with quality topics raised but we currently know that you, Bob, maybe S.R or John Romano want to have a "chat"..

No Manion?  He must still have the flu, huh?  ;D

Scheduling conflicts, brother@!   he's dying to get on the show!  They have to get some valuable things out of the way, like guys attacking internet nobodies and muscletech's breaking supplement news.

Manion, as the most powerful man in pro Bbing steering a sliding enterprise against an upstart more experienced competitor, just isn't as newsworthy.

You tell Big Armzzzz that too!

Hey Dan/Bob, when are you going to get Milos Sarcev on the show? Milos has alot of fans and would have loads to talk about, I'm sure. Whether it be from his long standing career, his (potential) comeback, the recent steroid bust which turned into nothing, training of IFBB Pros...i could go on and on but i'm sure you get my point!  ;D

I love the show and tune in each week, but would love to hear Milos on there.

Milos would be an awesome guest.  They had Dennis james on there, so I doubt there's any kind of Milos beef (it's hard to keep up with who hates who this week).

Milos has helped a lot of Bbers improve, and he is very personable with ppl on the boards.  Also, it might actually put the boards in a POSITIVE light.

Really amazing 240.  Really Amazing... Dan asks tough questions and digs right into controversy yet most everyone likes him. That takes a real class act to pull off.  Then there is you thinking that you play an important role with your bickering, hating, baiting and all around childish behavior.  It's REALLY sad seeing YOU give a "Bravo" to Dan.  ::)

again, it's like you're following me.  I have spoken to Dan a few times.  I used to call him a company man... but when I talked to him, I learned he's really not.  He has to avoid playing Hardball, cause guys won't come on.  but he does cover both side of the issue, and has been very good at doing that as of late.

Right.
Way to avoid the point again.  Of the two lines you grab the irrelevant one.  I really don't care about having a stalking debate dumbass...  I know it's your favorite goto line for your detractors but I guess it's right back at ya with your stalking of members and pros.  Infact when you take it off the board like you do isn't that cyberstalking?  You have no room to talk there bubba... back to the point.

Last nights "Roundtable" included John Romano, Guy Grundy, Skip Lacour and Bob.  A range of topics were covered, including: Athlete behavior, Kamali's comments, The magazine sale, the Olympia, Ronnie's reign, etc... The panel did a tremendous job.
Replay is now available at ProBodybuildingWeekly.com (http://www.ProBodybuildingWeekly.com) and Bodybuilding.com (http://Bodybuilding.com)

I purposely didn't start a thread on the show last night cause, well, my lawyer had the night off :)   But Dan, I gotta say, you played perhaps the 'moderator' role perfectly.  It wasn't a fluff piece.

Good guest selection too - it wasn't WWF monster ego hour - it was a group of intelligent, respected ppl in the BBing community.  And asking them to comment on the previous week's controvery was a bold move, but a good one.

As we have explained countless times, The PDI's president (Mr. DeMilia) has been invited to appear on Pro Bodybuilding Weekly.  He has informed us of his desire to appear on the show toward the end of the summer.  It is a conversation that we are ALL looking forward to.

Does Manion still have the flu?

Dan, I've given you mad props on here for keeping it real with us and asking fair questions. So here's a Q for you...

Any comment on why Manion hasn't been able to make it on the show?  One would have to think that at the very least, you guys could do a 15-minute fastball interview with him recorded, (or make it available for DL on your website).  Or, put him on a roundtable.  Some could argue that the spot on the roundtable held by your co-host would be better filled with someone like Manion.

It's been, what, 8 weeks? 10? since he was supposed to be on the show.  And the quote from Bob was, "Jim is DYING to get on the radio show".  If the most powerful man in BBing was indeed dying to get on a radio show, you would think he could have made time in the last 2-3 months.

I liked the show but spending time on the King/240 thing during a roundable was a complete waste of time and not worthy topic.  Dan you even giggled when you brought up the topic which says a lot for what you thought about it to begin with. Why bring it back up? There are surely dozens of more important topics that could have been tackled in that time spent.  I'm sure 240 got his attention whore fix out of it.  240 wins again. :-\

that's the thing, berserker- I didn't want to be brought up in the first interview, and i didn't want to be brought up in the second interview.  I use notoriety to reach many groups with my business and web design services, but I certainly didn't enjoy being called out on the show.   IMO, message board "haters" are about 25th on the list of worthy BBing topics, and therefore shouldn't even be addressed on the show.

To be clear, during the roundtable, I simply asked the panel to comment on "what they thought about an athlete taking legal actions against a fan".  -- This question was highly relevant, especially after a popular IFBB pro appeared on the show (one week earlier) and hinted that he is exploring his legal options.  -- The question was raised, the panel responded....and we moved on.

I *used* to love the drama of it, and the attention that it gave my web design/marketing stuff.  now, it annoys me.  You'll notice I don't post my services every 3rd thread anymore, I don't start with pros just to start with them (I do chime in when I smell BS tho).  I have some pretty solid local contracts now- getbig is becoming more of an escape/outlet again, which is fun.  But no, I wish that radio nonsense hadn't happened.  it was a headache.

Well you'll at least admit this is by far not the first time you've claimed to be a more positive presence. It didn't last long in the past and I doubt it will again.  Baiting is in your blood.

This show seems to reiterate much of what I have said in the past about player conduct, promoting the sport, and the perception of athletes.

As for King and him maybe being hurt or affected by negative comments, he's not the only one who acts in this manner. We've seen others act like that as well. So obviously King and many do really get affected by it.
