As a cleveland resident and "bodybuilding fan" I should have been to the Arnold atleast a couple of times by now :-\

Hell yeah, too many. 3 or 4 a year, not counting ones that I did, since 1994. Also went to the 1994 and 1995 Olympias in Atlanta.

There just plain boring and they've tried just about everything, gay posing with one guy wearing a phantom of the opera mask, costumes, robot costumes, S&M costumes, S&M skits with half naked women pretending to get it on with children on stage and still..............BORIN G............geez, whats it going to take?

the funny thing is I prefer looking at still pictures to seeing videos of the shows, so I'm sure going to a show live would be even worse in terms of actually observing a physique.
Not to mention the fact that the shows are terribly run and looking at bodybuilders gets boring as soon as you habituate and they all start to look the same. For me this takes about 60 seconds. IF they were actually able to put on a good show (something like the musclemen of old who performed feats of strength and control, see maxalding for the later) it could be interesting for longer.

The Pros always have recognized me. Some top amateurs as well. They like me a lot with the exception of a few I am sure.

I'm not flaming you in any way Goatboy, but I am curious about why you'd be on this board so much with this attitude. ??? You're older than most on this board I bet, yet you've never attended a single show?

none. i live in europe and there aren't just any good shows where i would be willing to pay
for gasoline, hotel, 30$ entrance fee and stuff just to see some "IFBB"-Pros i can see for free at the FIBO.

Arnold 3x, Toronto pro 2x, NOC once and a host of Pro\amateur natural bb comp's. Before it's all said and done ,i'm gonna make it to see the O at least once.

One of the IFBB contests that I have attended that I consider one of my favorites is the Ms Olympia & Fitness Olympia that was held in New York City in November 1997.
How many of you remember those two contests from that year?
