Charles told flexonline that he’s planning to skip the Mr. Olympia this year, following his dismay at his two consecutive and personally disappointing second placings at the Shawn Ray Colorado Pro May 13 and New York Pro May 20.
Alves indicated that he will probably skip the Olympia this year to give his body adequate rest and come back strong to battle for the Ironman in 2007, a contest where he feels he has some unfinished business to attend to

it doesn't bother me i have never went to a show and said "damn troy and darrem aren't here I'm leaving"but they are making the right decision because people of there build have not been rewarded at the Olympia for some time now
