Title: What will happen first Ronnie retiring or Ronnie losing?
Post by: Wiggs on June 21, 2006, 09:38:17 PM
It's pretty clear Ronnie hasn't given any indication that he will step down soon.  With the improvements that Jay is making every year and Coleman is a hit or miss every year.  How will Ronnie go out, on a win or a loss???

If Ronnie plans on competing, lets say another 3 years.  I don't foresee him being an 11 time Mr. O.  Too many things against him, Jay, Phil Heath (Yes, Phil Heath you'll only be able to keep him down so long and people want change) and the chinks in Ronnie's armor that is starting to add up.

Ronnie losing to Jay Cutler?
BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Every other pro who competes in the olympia is trying to finish in the money.  ie. 2nd to 10th
Any pro who thinks they can beat Coleman is delusional

Retiring...unless he gets greedy.

He'll pass Haney this year. This is the swan song.

He'll win his 9th to the boos of justly enraged Cutler fans. Then whoever purchases Flex magazine next year - wanting an infusion of fresh blood - will let Ronnie know that next time he'll be actually, you know, judged. The announcement of his retirement will follow immediately thereafter.

He will win 3 or 4 more times and then start looking like crap because he is so old and then somebody else will take it. Probably Erik Bui. :o

Last 3 Olympias have never been defeated making up what 20 yrs roughly.

Torn Biceps, Distended stomachs other injured bodyparts, never once defeated.

Only way a new Mr Olympia is crowned is when the old one does not show up!

Personally I think when a current Mr Olympia is defeated this will bring a whole new fan base outlook to the sport! I think what is hurting fan attendance is everyone's outlook like mine.

I think Gunter looked good last year. He's heading in the right direction. Cutler is huge but he needs to control his gut better this year. Ronnie will win until he retires. If the O was actually a fight every year then more people would be attracted to the sport. The Arnold is quickly becoming the new O becuase people actually ranking differently year to year.

Ronnie will never lose at the Olympia. Anybody who thinks so is delusional. The IFBB dynasty laws prevent such things from happening.

Now that's what I think a bodybuilding ideal should be like, the old school ideal of big upper body, slim lower body as made famous in the 70's by no other, than the great Arnold "the Austrian oak" Schwarzenegger, while at the same time, taking Arnold's treats from that era - big chest, big arms, and taking it to the next level.

That's what we veterans of the iron game call "the best of both worlds"

I applaud it, so should you.
