practice is there so you can refine what you do to get it right and it becomes instinc so when the pressure is on you do it correctly everytime without thinking it thru.

yeah i've been going through that here lately when learning new combo's..i'm having to do them slow for a long time before i speed them up or i end up throwing something different! best part about it though...i'm not hitting my  first set of knuckles on the bag anymore!  :) but DAMN! i'll say 20-30 minutes of throwing hands is so much more cardio work than say the treadmill is!

thats for sure, i found if i set a kitchen timer for 3 min and work it hard like a bout i am covered in sweat in half the time it would take a treadmill run (well jog i hate running). i have a punching dummy in my living room (my kid practices his tae kwon do) and not only is it a great workout its a fantastic stress relief..

oppisite for me, i have rage control and anger issues and to get to unload in the gym and with the dummy i feel much better like i do not have to hunt some guy down who cut me off on my drive home and pull him from his car and beat him to death...well most of the time it helps..:)

For wing chun we would throw a thousand punches in the air.  then a thousand against the pad.  Yes it's practical, it conditions you until it becomes second nature to throw it right the first time.

You always have to practice individual techniques for accuracy, and combinations for flow. Kicks, punches, submissions.  Doesn't matter.  Accuracy and flow is the key.  Stick to the basics.  Make them solid without gaps. You will be ok.

ya u definatly want automatic response with ur moves, if u have to think then it's to late.
U want to let ur counscious mind chose the move but ur subcounscious mind carry it out.
1st get ur technique dwn cause the more u do it wrong the harder it will be to program ur mind to do it right.
2nd work on combos.

Also Beeing in the ring in a real fight is WAY more tiering than training if u can handle 20 rounds out of the ring u can maybe handle 3 rounds in it! i donno why this is but thats how it feels. thats why u have to train super hard!

BTW alexx is there a thread u dont post on ??? I feel like im in a giant kindergarden every time i come here,
and no matter where a go theres that annoying little brat again!
