for guys with extra large hands....i recently tried on a pair of century leather mma gloves and a pair of everlast extra large mma gloves and they were ridiculously tight! now i know that you're supposed to give them time to wear in! but if you can't even get them on to WEAR THEM IN the wth good does it do. so my last ditch effort was to try on a pair of the everlast evergel gloves...
LOVE'EM! xl does mean xl with this pair! my hands can actually fit in them! and solid protection! just as good if not better than my first pair of mma gloves! give'em a try if you're looking for something inexpensive that will stand up for awhile! it's not a plug so much as my opinion on them for those that are interested! again..guys with big hands that are having a hard time finding an xl glove that really fits xl hands try these out!

speaking of which...do you think it would be legal to fight with these?
for those that have seen them anyway...

I own two pairs of evergel gloves and they are ridiculously fragile. They both tore within a matter of days, I like them, but they just aren't very durable.
-
did the neoprene give out? ???
-
The rubbery grip material that is in the palm region tore on both pairs.
-
yeah that's the neoprene.i've been careful when taking them off to keep'em from ripping at the stitches....
got any good LARGER glove recommendations?! ???

I really havent been impressed by any one brand of MMA glove. I have seen Title, Everlast, and Century brand gloves, and out of the three I would have to go with Century's newer glove, it doesent have a thumb, for some reason the glove with the thumb bugs me.

Fairtex and Ouano have some very good gloves with and w/o thumbs

I've seen some of the Fairtex stuff in a catalog somewhere, they looked pretty badass, but as I recall they were pretty expensive.

yeah fairtex and ouna are expensive, but they are built to last. great stitching and all-around material. worth the money IMO. I need to get another pair. My last ones were stolen.

my pair of evergels fell apart after about 10 uses. they were a total waste of money.

The first pair I bought honestly tore the second day I had them, which was ridiculous. They sent me a new pair and some free hand wraps, though.

I still love my BoES, and lately I picked up a pair of those generic Sherdog ones (just for the hell of it, they were $29) and they're pretty awesome, unlike my BoES they have a cutout for the thumb and palm so a bit more versatile.

Fairtex makes some of the best 4 ounce fight gloves. Delivery time is EXTREMELY slow, and it is costly. It is nearly impossible to use traditional hand wraps under mma gloves, we usually tape. Twins makes a great Pride style glove, but is also slow on delivery and costly as well.
