What the hell just happened?!?! this turned into a 5 round boxing match... wth was Arlovski thinking??!! instead of shooting and getting that redneck slob on the ground he just kept trying to box him... I know the 'weak chin' comment hurt him but geeez dude, talk about pride getting in the way of logic.

it a eastern Europe thing they have no class give them all the money in the world they will show up wearing hotel drapes and a chili bowl haircut and i was hoping he would win
but he let stupidity(pride)get in the way

Seeing Arlovski go the distance made me realize how overrrated his striking is.  All he has is an overhand right, it usually works, but when is doesent, he has no plan B.  If he would just add some left hooks or maybe throw more uppercuts, maybe throw a few kicks to the body to break the monotony he would have had more success.  It seemed like after the second round Tim was able to see that right hand coming a bit better and he just worked around it.  I really wasn't impressed by either of them, or Frank Mir for that matter.  Frank used to have potential, now I just don't see him going very far in this weak HW division.  Overall, Pride HW's >UFC HW's.

Pride fighters as a whole just outclass UFC fighters. As the sport grows here and more money Is offered, you will see some Pride fighters coming over here. Right now though the Japenese pay their fighter much more. Hence better fighters.
*** As I watched the Sylvia , Arlovski fight tonight I just kept thinking
How weak the heavyweight division is in the UFC. Prides worst heavyweight fighters would destroy those two. Hell, Some Pride fights have no weight classes. Wanderlei would hand both Tim Sylvia and Arlovski their ass !!!! Hes not even in their weight class.

Could you see CROCOP or FEDOR fighting either of those two tonight.
It would be a complete beating for both of them. Making them look like ameteurs as well with there overwhelming skills.

Well u know its bad when u actully fall asleep watching the fight. All i can say is I'm glad my freind payed for the PPV not me, or i would have been pissed!
