if it was for a commercial gym i'd get the Nebula model the one that is in Ronnie's video, that sucker can hold 2500 no problem, my gym has one from Flex fitness that's pretty good.

That's the one Keith. Jim Rochell has one in hos gym in Rochester and it's heavy duty.

Even though you asked for a Linier Leg Press the old style Hammer Strenght unit, is exactly like the design of our buddy Pete Grymkowsky's leg press that he sold in the 70's. http://us.commercial.lifefitness.com/content.cfm/legpress_1

Jim Rockell still has one of Petes Leg Presses in his gym also.

If you remember Hammer was started by Gary Jones, Arthur Jones (of Nautilus) son. Pete told Arthur 30 years ago that he didn't need the Nautilus shaped cam to provide the variable resistance that Arthur was after. All he had to do was provide an off center leverage arm. Arthur wasn't listening. Gary was. Thus the invention of Hammer Strength. Pete's thinking was ahead of his time.

Flex doesn't make a Linier Leg Press... just an angled one.

yeah, i know, you really don't see many horizontal leg presses in gyms anymore, i used to love the one on the old Universal machines, remember those?

the only place i feel vertical presses is the hamstrings, i alweays get a graet quad pump from the angled press.

Actually sarcasm that would be a "seated" leg press on the Universal. I never liked that unit much. Yes I remember.

Linier is old school upside down feet pressing straight up like the link I posted.
http://www.nebula-fitness.com/6005.htm

Before the early eighties when the 45% angle leg press came out almost all old school leg presses were linier. I felt them building more of a sweep. Waller used to love them.

I have used angled and linear presses.  It all comes down to comfort on that particular piece of machinery.

I highly advise NOT getting a maching that pivots (circular motion) as I have seen others post here.  The weight distribution and exercise motion are not ideal for BBing...
