Hard to estimate. I never used many supplements most are crock of crap. BTW, define "suppliments"!!
-
define "suppliments"!!
exactly.
-
Hardly any. I buy whey protien and that it. I take about 2 servings a day. Usually they have 92 scoops. So it lasts about 46 days for me.
So I buy about 8 containers of the stuff. That comes to about 240 dollars a year, If that.
-
exactly.
Not "those" supplements, juiceboy. :D
Me? Easy. Too freakin' much over the years. :-\ Damn this addictive hobby. >:(

Well, it's important to define what we're talking about.
The 'illegal' supplements are drugs not supplements, and they are the only substances that actually do anything useful.
I would define protein as a food, not a supplement, since how much you need to take (or if you need to take it at all) is really determined by how much protein you get from food.
Anything that does not fall into one of the above two categories (95% of what the companies that support IFBB bodybuilding sell) is useless, overhyped snake oil.
Using those definitions, anyone spending one dime on a bodybuilding supplement is being taken advantage of.

...... way too much

Why are you guys wasting money on supplements that don`t work?

I'm guessing he doesn't take cyanide either, but that doesn't disqualify him from telling you why you shouldn't. ::)

I'd probably put it around $4-5K in my 11 years, seems like a lot but I'v heard of much worse. My boss currently spends $1000 a month for her and her husband, and on Advocare to top it off :-\
In terms of effectiveness I'd say roughly half of it has been "worth" it for me.

i don't take alot either(6 scoops of protein a day and some Kre-Alkalyn) but i don't go around telling people what works when i have no experience with it
-
I buy anything with Joe Weider on the bottle
-
I only buy what some would consider food, protein and multivitamins, and that's not necessarily more expensive than buying regular food... just more convenient. If one by "supplements" means those magic pills that suppose to do this and that, I don't buy any of that stuff... and that can become expensive, fast.
-
If Mcdonalds is a supplement, then there isnt a calculator that could add up what I have spent.
-
Thousands.
More of a placebo effect than anything else
-
Well, what are the NO2 sales to date? That stuff is Myostatin 2.
-
Not "those" supplements, juiceboy. :D
When I read supplements, juice was the first thing I thought of, too. :-\
To answer the question, supplements like protein powder...15 years w/ very few breaks.
the other supplements, from '98-'02 on and off.
-
Alot.
WHY? Just use someone elses, and claim they are yours.
-
I have no problem spending money on anything that has to do with improviing my gains. Its like buying food, you know you have to.
-
::)
It is you it is you.... LOL...
