Title: Griffin/Bonnar 2
Post by: torquemada on July 17, 2006, 07:09:55 PM
Just announced for UFC 62; was a good fight the first time, but I think Griffin's game has jumped up way past Bonnar's.  Really, I don't see how this fight helps Griffin at all...

I'm not really interested in this fight.  Lately, Bonner hasn't proved that he's PPV worthy IMO.  Also, Forrest appears to be getting better with every fight.  I'd say Bonner will take the 1st round cause Forrest starts slower than a turtle, but after that the monkey will take over, I'm guessing unanimous decision or late stoppage due to gnp.

I'm not, in fact, I'm not even ordering this event. I was too disappointed w/ ufc 61.

yawn!

That should be a UFC fight night event not a PPV.  I could care less about this fight.  This is probably more for Bonner than Forrest.  Maybe we should go longer between PPV so we don't have to grab a bunch of crap fights just to make a card.

totally agree. but theyre trying to cash in on its rising popularity right now.

only problem with doing that is the cards are weaker so not as interesting thus losing the fans theyre trying to keep.

plus if you keep cramming this down peoples throat with fequent PPV and the spike tv stuff it starts to lose its appeal

UFC 61 made me really glad that I saw it for free at Hooter's. :).

I really don't have much motivation to check out 62.  How are Griffin and Bonnar going to top their first fight?   I'll give it this much:  I think a lot of people are underestimating Sobral.  He's improved a LOT since his first match w/ Chuck...

For free, it was a great deal.  Couldn't hear commentary, but that wasn't a deal breaker...

Those hard wooden chairs aren't comfortable either. And there is always some dumbass standing up and blocking my view.  But hey it is free.
