I was just reading that Tony Freeman didn't start til 21, and was 6'+ at 150. Interesting to see how he has changed now. Does anyone have pics of pro's as teens/early 20's? Thanks

Nasser looks like a philosophy student in the pic, ready to be blown away by the wind.
Ruhl was rather a fat kid i think.
The other ones attracted to BB are the ones lacking in the height department.

Ruhl was never a fat kid. He started off as a 120 lbs soccer player. He suffered an injury and his doctor suggested weight training as part of his recovery. He blew up from there.
Dennis James was a soccer player too. He came close to playing in the Bundesliga but chose bb instead.
Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman weren't skinny kids trying to get big, they were jocks through and through. They were natural athletes who excelled in bb.
Chris Cormier, Dexter Jackson, MArcus HAley, etc . . . all lifted for football NOT becuase they were weak and small. Most if not all pros are gifted athletes who blew up from weight training. Most often they started to improve their game or recover from injuries - NOT because they felt insecure and innadequate.
Shawn Ray was a gifted high school athlete and powerlifter, tom prince was a nationaly ranked swimmer . . . and the list goes on.
Anyone who says the pros are all drugs and started bb becuase they felt innadequate are full of shit and likely feel innadequate themselves.

LOL...not really my man, the first time I picked up a bodybuilding magazine, it was IRONMAN. Flex was featured in one Article and he was superb and I realize he had one of the greatest physique in the sport.

I used to believe that genetics were a huge part in it but after seeing early pics of Dorian I have come to this conclusion: genetics hardly mean JACK SHIT. It's just mind-boggling to believe THAT grew into Mr. Olympia. Obviously some respond better than others 8)

Lifetime natural, but I'm amazed at how some guys blow up tremendously on the sauce and others don't as much. Then again some guys could be getting bogus stuff
