mr. symmetry the black panther himself! Serge Nubret!
-
1972 Mr. Olympia would've been a great year to have attended, but I give 1969 the edge simply because that was Arnold's first crack at the Olympia.

1995,1996 and 1997 when the most biggest and the massive guys competed on the same stage in top-notch condition..we had paul dillet, nasser, kevin,jp fux, mike francois, paul demayo, ian harrison, dorian yates were in near perfect condition..
-
I would say 1991, the year Lee Haney broke Arnold Schwarzenegger's record. He went out in style, truly saving his best for last, as many would agree that he was in his best shape ever that year.
As The "Awesome One" stated on his interview for ESPN, when referring to himself and his condition at that show, "It would have taken something monstrous to be mass, symmetry, and definition.....and Arnold has retired!!!"
Honorable mention - 1998: The emotion in the arena, when Ronnie Coleman realized that he won it all, collapsing on the floor with tears in his eyes and needing several bodybuilders to help him up.
-
1989 in Italy. Always wanted to see Italy.
-
Man, that is a tough one. I don't think I could pick just one.
-
1980
That would've been the next Mr. Olympia show I would've liked to have attended.
-
'73, Schwarzenegger pushed to his best shape after unofficially losing in '72.
-
It would be the year where symmetry guys wins the Sandow.. Who cares when
-
1972 !
Yup, me too. And it's just 50 kilometers from where i live!
-
unofficially losing in '72.
You got no argument from me there.
-
I'd say 92. I don't agree with the end result but jeezuz, there was like fifty competitors and a complete air of the unexpected. Labrada, vince tyalor, shawn ray and yates, all now top pros in the mix. Add Rookie sensation kevin levrone and the return of the green giant, Ferrigno to the proceedings and it truly was a spectacle.
-
1984. Haney, Samir and Dickerson all on the same stage. Add Beckles, Fox and Paris. Was an amazing show

If my memory serves me right, that was also the year Sergio Oliva was on stage too, right? ???
-
1998 to see the look on flex's face when a unknown ronnie coleman was called after his name

Has to be 2007 with a retired Ron cheering in the audience as the NEW Mr O is crowned !

Oliva owns this pose!!! great pic!
-
1998 - the end of the Yates Era.
The beginning of Ronnie's Reign.
The buzz surrounding that contest was intense.
First time a new Mr. O. would be crowned in 6 years.

Surely you feel that this year as well. Jay Cutler promises to bring an alltime best condition, and pundits think King Ron just might lose this year!

As with every other year. Point being - I don't see it happening.

me neither. i was being sarcastic. however, maybe since they're not selling PPV tickets this year, they might not hype that tired angle all night.
-
1980, with my digital and video cameras. Mentzer was robbed!
-
1. 1984, so many greats on stage in one show.
2. Next year, after Big Ronnie has retired and Jay is upset by somebody unexpected.
I like both Ronnie and Jay, but the Olympia is more pridictable than the phases of the moon
-
Yup, me too. And it's just 50 kilometers from where i live!
Call me nuts, but I think Oliva would look better in that pic with slightly smaller forearms. There they look a bit simian...they're too big.

From what placing? Not first, that's for sure.
