Title: Nipple soreness
Post by: AMNIMAL on July 28, 2006, 09:53:59 AM
Not sure what caused it but about a month ago my right nipple became swollen and kind of puffy. It was sore to the touch. it lasted a few days then went away. Then several weeks later both nipples became slightly puffy and have a "knot" feel directly under the nipple. They are becoming more and more painful. I have seen gyno nipples and that's not what I have. Anyone else ever had this happen or know what may be causing it? I am scheduled for an ultra sound to see what's up?

Do you happen to be a runner?  My buddy that runs used to suffer from chafing/swelling on his nips from his shirt from running.

I'm not sure about that "knot" thing though.  I hope you'll be OK.

what does "gyno nipples" look like??????

my point is that it never looks the same....you could be in the pre-development stages. did they itch before they became sore? are you on the sauce? are you under 18?

You probably just aggregated it through friction of clothing or you might just have sensitive nipples. As funny as that sounds, it is common.

Gyno, of the puffy variety.

Had you posted on the steroid board someone would've probably suggested Nolva or some other aniti-estrogen type thing.

I've had this and went to a breast specialist for it!!  Yes I'm a man, but that's where my doctor told me to go.  I did feel a bit weird about it.  They asked whether I was on steroids, I wasnt so I told him so.  He then said its quite common for this to happen to young men between the ages of 18 and 25 and not to worry about it.  They did have a feel around my balls for lumps though, seems that's normal procedure! :-[ so you'll have that to look forward to!
