The calf thing is a genetic malformation/robustness/foreshortening of the calf and lower leg structure indicative of someone with a high degree of Celtic ancestry... (Scottish, Irish, or to a lesser degree Welsh) The shape and structure of the calf is indicative that there aren't many Normans/Angles/Saxons in the Yates family tree.
It's a cold adaption seen in Northern dwelling people... the pattern is usually:
-thick forearms with long muscle bellies inserting at the wrist, not before it... accompanied by broad palms, short stubby fingers and thick knuckles
-elongated lats which cover more of the kidney
-boxy pelvic structure
-bell-shaped ribcage
-proportionately narrow shoulders
-long hamstring muscle bellies and thick knees
-a severely shortened Achilles tendon sometimes accompanied by flat feet
-short, stubby toes
-broad feet that are proprtionately short for the persons height
-an elongated soleus muscle belly that wraps around the (girthy) ankle and extends a full two thirds down the leg

...I'd put good money on Dorian having had red/gingery-brown hair as a child (till 10 or so), or perhaps growing red facial hair as an adult (red ear and nostril hair will come with age), that is associated with the cold-adaptive genes.

Dorian stated his mother's side is German. He said this on his website a while back. Someone was wondering about the origin of his middle name. There are plenty of Borreby and Brunn racial types in northern Germany. His neandertal features could be from this side of his family.

Calves looks just as big when he was competing,quads look big too.Both seem very lean too.
Upper body seem to lack though ,arm,delt and lats seem to have alot more fat/water and lost more size.

after all those years of hardcore juicing, i donīt know if his body can provide normal hormonal levels without a little assistance. it`s also a question of lifestyle. he is used to live in a big body and doesnīt want to grade down, which i can understand. imagine living in a villa for nearly two decades and then you must remove to a one- or two-room appartment. wouldnīt you try to do something to stay in the villa?

It's safe to say that bodybuilding has some seriously fucked up individuals. When you start taking on another genders characteristics, that should be a sign, you need help. I often look around the gym and think, "Wow! Can't anyone achieve anything naturally today?" It's so out of control, people just accept it as the norm, but people outside the gym lifestyle look at most juicers as drug abusers, nothing more. I can't imagine 2025, between implants, fake this, fake that, where does reality begin for people? Remember the time you gained your first 5lbs. lifting with nothing more than heart? That's what the sport is missing today. Gyms are saturated with garbage....sorry, just keepin' it real.

I used to juice so I know what it likes.But you have to take other factors into acoutn.I guess he think its worth it,its his desicion at the end.

His calves are awesome, but the rest of him has atrophied beyond belief. He has a huge torso, but his limbs more than ever are lacking. Plus, he still has a torn bicep, tricep and quadricep. Talk about him with glowing accolades all you want from the early to mid nineties; he was the man to beat and usually came into the show in great shape. However, put up against even a mid level competitor now and his lunch would be eaten. No chance in hell for a run at the Olympia or even Ironman. Now, he could do damage in the Masters division.

No when they asked him on PBW if he could beat Ronnie at his best , Dorian said it was a very hard question for him to answer but he said that Ronnie was competing at about 30lbs more than him and the judges may pick him just based on that . what I'm interested in is how he think he would fare against Ronnie 98/99 because in all honesty Ronnie looked his best in 98/99 not 2003/04.
