Title: The Ironage vs. Modern Day
Post by: Ex Coelis on August 04, 2006, 02:12:11 PM
Even though I'm a big fan of the modern mass-monster physiques, I can still appreciate the physiques of the Ironage. For all the technical brilliance of today's bodybuilders, there is something about the bodybuilders of generations past that still succeeds in inspiring the pursuit of the bodybuilding lifestyle.

When you go through the old magazines and see Steve Reeves, Chuck Sipes, Freddy Ortiz, Larry Scott, Bill Pearl, and other bodybuilding legends of a time past, you can't help being impressed.

Some lament the state of proffessional bodybuilding today and yearn for a return to the physiques of the Ironage. Yet, I disagree with this assertion. Evolution of our sport is necessary and unstoppable. The trick is to learn to appreciate bodybuilders from all generations: past, present, and future.
