I posted this on the natural board under Alexxx`s diet thread.  I`ll offer it as my piece of advice.

At 10 percent you should have a good amount of definition and some veins.  Most people grossly get their bodyfat wrong.  In fact, most people even in the gym are walking around with 30 percent bodyfat or so.

The best piece of advice I or anyone will ever give you is, don`t worry about a number,weight,measurement or anything.

Just be the best that you can be and work harder each day.  These boards and magazines can f**k you up if you let them with people lying and claiming shit all the time that isn`t true.  It will get you to believe that you should do something else or meet a certain criteria which is based on a bunch of horseshit and lies.

Look around you at your gym and at any gym.  Do you see anyone walking around like the majority of people claim?  Ripped abs above 200 lbs?  I don`t think so.

Now go train and eat.  Lower your calories, do what needs to be done.  f**k all the bullshit and everyone else.

Be careful who's training advice you listen to.  Especially as a beginner.  There are a ton of "experts" in every gym.

alot of beginners especially believe that the best built guys in the gym are the most knowledgable,i think the opposite,alot of guys with great genetics never had to be careful with diet and training form compared to a hard gainer.ive always learned more and got better advice from the average guy at the gym who looked decently cut up,im sure youve seen guys who train totally wrong and look awesome then go to wendys and still have super abs

My advice: Don't care to much for supplements, get your diet straight instead.

supplements are convenient, but bodybuilding is not convenience.
If you get supps, go for creatine, bcaa or aminos.
Everything else comes with good nutrition.

If you want to hold some decent mass and get to 10% to 12% do you think cardio is a good idea or just diet?

Ha ha, this is hilarious becuase just last night an obese associate who must be around 400 pounds at 5 foot ten was telling me that he was about 15% BF. He said by the end of the summer he should be ten percent. I asked how he got those numbers and he said he tested himself on a machine at the grocery store.

My advice... Get your diet dialed in.

I was at the gym and wanted to take a picture of this fat red headed beast, she must weigh like 350lbs..no joke, im actually probably underestimating her...but what does that tell members... I mean what the fcuk ??? Is she there to make people fell better about themselves..I know i sound like im mean as fcuk but no matter what gene you have in your body, there comes a point where its not genetics, its a case of irresponsiblity and laziness.

Don`t worry about perfect form or trying to duplicate form from a book or magazine.  Use it as a guideline.  Everyone is built with different proportions, so it is impossible to perform each exercise the same way another person does.

Do what works for you.

Here's some advice...read and learn everything you can about diet and never underestimate the improtance of understanding how much diet plays into the equation.   Without knowing what to eat and when to eat it you spin your wheels.

Measure your stomach across your bellybutton, with stomach relaxed.  If it's more than twice your arms size than you should diet.

A lot of guys overeat and get fat and don't realize it just because they try to get to a certain weight.  Bodyweight means nothing if you're fat.

I don't think I'm entitled to give advice to anybody but these are the things that I learned and that give me some results:
1) Train with proper form. Not so sure you will have better gains but at least you will reduce the chance to get injured.
2) Human body adapts quickly to stimulations. Hence, when bulking, increase calories gradually. When cutting decrease calories and increase cardio gradually.
3) Listen to all suggestions but don't follow them: experiment on yourself and find out what works for you.

This is a damn good thread...i'm guilty of falling for the crap all the time..reading MMI or Flex and think,,,damn, if i buy cell-tech and hydroxycut--i'll get ripped to shreds and stack muscle on with ease...like someone mentioned earlier about flex--perserverance, dedication, and being an iron warrior will turn you into a flex cover model...they forget to add in the drugs in that equation...

1. listen to your body.

2. four  training days/week is not a must when OFF hormones. 2-3 will do it for maintenence,,,also a break would help.

3. you grow out side the gym. you grow OUT side the gym. you grow OUT SIDE the gym.

4. eliminate repetetive exercises. exp: you either work 3 sets incline and 3 flat bench and then move on to flys,, or dont work chest at all. no need for incline,,flat,,decline,,machine incline etc,,because it wont grow you. work smart.

5. work heavy but work right! heavy for you might be 225lb squats. work it right and go from there.

6. devote few days a month to "all you can lift plus" kinda sessions,,in those session you can give your ego a bust by lifting how ever and what ever you want,, and you dont have to keep good form either. be sure you know your bodybuilding and your limitations so you dont get injured!!  this is very good if you want to impress the local sluts while on hormones. this is also the few days i suggest to enter the gym at night! so you feel good about yourself.

7. when you wanna train seriously go to train early in the morning when the gym generator open it. the moment you start going afternoons and evening you will stop your progress. might get a pussy but physiqe will remain the same ;).

8. wear a baseball cap and have a pissed off face so no one even atempt talking to you because it will take away from your intensity and you wasted a lot of money on the drugs.

9. always look at the scale during bulking. you want size and weight no matter what. there is no better feeling then waking up in the morning while on cycle weighin 10-20lb more.

10. BF% and seperation is all good on stage! if you gain enough muscle,,you will be big and muscular and defined and cut and buff and puff. no need for tank top either,,if you got muscles it will show through t shirt. dont pay attention much to bf% while bulking try keeping it under 15%.

oh well that's different. i mean people who wanna grow so bad. they think whenever the scale says more it's that they gained muscle so they are stuffed until there's no more room even for air 24 hours a day. i'm sure you take your bodyfat percentage too. the first time i dieted down i went from 192 to 176 in no time. but my lean body mass went down a lot so i looked like an ass.

Adonis that sounds great and very noble. Even nice of you to say. Good encouragement and advice. Listen to your body. What works for someone else might not work for you. Be your own judge. Be consistant.

Always do cardio, at least every other day. Diet slowly and control carbs. Don't go to low carbs, or your workout will suck and you will mess up.  Don't deplete carbs and sodium and then crap loading. If you are natural do nothing crazy you can easily mess up and then you are stuck with it..

always take in some carbs with protein.  The insulin spike helps drive the aminios to the muscle, where they do the most good.

Be considerate of other gym members - you probably don't own the gym or any of the equipment in it. Use the squat rack and power rack for only for squats and other heavy compound power movements. Find somewhere else to do those brutal 65lb barbell curls and upright rows.

If someone claims to be an "Adonis" and is in fact pug fugly you should probably be leary of taking their advice because they are clearly delusional.  This applies to Vince too.
