I just read on T-mag that "thick bars" if used more often, will increase other lifts. Is this true that? I think I read this in MMI a few years back. I think Arnold also suggested it for forearms, but I'm not sure. Anyhow, I'm going to give it a try and see if there's any carry-over effect. I'll start by using it for arm curls. And yes, I promise to stay out of the squat rack while doing 'em. Arrrggg!!! Don't you just hate those people that curl for an hour in the squat rack? Bloody fools!!!!!!!!!

i use it for grip work

Ronnie trains so heavy that he kept bending the bars at Metro-Flex
after throwing them out, Brian Dobson decided to buy him a Texas bar - a bar thick and strong enough to hang with Mr. Olympia

I always use a thick bar and I always use the squat rack because I can usally curl more than the squadlings can squat
