PBW Welcomes Larry Scott - "The First Mr. Olympia!"
As we begin the countdown to Olympia weekend, "Pro Bodybuilding Weekly" welcomes bodybuilding icon Larry Scott, the very first Mr. Olympia! In addition to winning the first Mr. Olympia contest, Larry Scott is also the first man to win bodybuilding's triple crown - Mr. Universe, Mr. America and Mr. Olympia! The voice of pro bodybuilding broadcasts LIVE on Monday, August 14th (8pm EST) - presented by Team MuscleTech and brought to you by Bodybuilding.com.
A Record Month! -- PBW posted record audience numbers in July as the show welcomed Lou Ferrigno, Jose Canseco, Lee Priest, Milos Sarcev, Don Long & Shawn Ray. Thanks for your continued support of the program!

Now this is a worthwhile guest!
-
Ask him how many D-bol he took when he won the O.
-
Awesome I'm interested on Larrys take on things .
-
"How did the drug use of 1970 compare with today?"
*sneaky way of getting him to admit drug use in his era :)

1970s? he was early to mid 1960s although he did try and make a come-back in the 70s that didn't go so well.

Now this will be interesting; all these decades later finally hearing him interviewed for the first time.
I'd like to hear his assessment of specific past and current greats, Gironda, drug use then and his thoughts on Coleman's domination of Yates on getbig. ;D

Legend has it that he bumped his dosage up from his usual one 5mg pill to two after a special top secret meeting of the minds at Gironda's gym... ;D
-
Ask him if he's going over to the PDI....you can never be too sure! ;)

Larry is still alive? ??? Can this guy still speak? Guess it doesn't matter much since the guests rarely get a word in lately.
Where did Ben Weider go who was supposed to be on last month?
-
I wonder how much gear they used back then ;D
-
What's funny is that people think training and nutrition have improved, yet Larry was able to build ripped 20" arms in the early 60's with just a little dbol. Brutal progress. ::)
-
I hope Larry is more entertaining than Lou Ferrigno

He's sharing Manion's flu medicine!
-
Larry posted on ironage forums that he eats a 5-1 protein to carb ratio now to diet :o

A big thanks to the great Larry Scott for joining us on the show. We realize that Larry may not provide the controversy and "sizzle" that some of our listeners crave...but it was a nice change of pace as Larry shared stories about those historical first Olympia contests....the dinner he had in 1964 with Joe Weider as the Olympia was invented...or the time he sold health insurance to a fellow competitor named Arnold. -
The new NBC Reality Star Kim Lyons also joined us on the show.
Replay is up at ProBodybuildingWeekly.com (http://ProBodybuildingWeekly.com)
