Who do you think has the best genetics for bodybuilding of anyone you've ever seen (must e able to post a pic) whether or not they're a BB.
I know everyone will say Ronnie Coleman (and he's definitely up there) but I vote for two other guys: Paul Dillett and Michael Clarke Duncan.
Dillett everyone knows but MCD - realize this:
* He's 49 years old (yep, that's right the guy's basically 50)
* Even though he's enormous, Hollywood, with their 5'7" stars who weigh 165 lbs - and where Stallone is considered enormous - does not encourage actors to be as big as they can. So even though MCD is huge, I'm sure they discourage him from going all out.
* It's actually possible the guy is not on roids. I don't know why I believe this could be true but for some reason he seems like one of those rare freaks who's friggin' enormous anyways. I'm probably wrong...
Could you imagine if this guy had started training for BB at age 20?
Here he is at age 43:

Flex Wheeler in his prime...

Duncan wore lifts in his shoe to appear like he was 6-8

Sure, so? For a guy over 6 feet tall, he's got surprisingly thick muscle bellies. Imagine how huge he'd look next to all the 5'7"-5'10" bodybuilders if he got as huge as he could. Even if he's "only" 6'3" (although I always see him listed as 6'5") he'd still tower over everyone (he'd even be taller than Gunter) and he's NOT a skinny tall guy.

Marko Savolainen and Eddie Moyzan.
Here's Marko compared to Cutler. Jay should be thankful Marko is out of the game at this time.
And Eddie just starting to show his amazing potential.

Marko compared to Jay
sorry for the double pics.

sorry for the double pics.
In a video I watch, Marko was going toe to toe with Ronnie, if someone said that Marko won...i would not have argued...he has some of the best arms ..ever...just a sick looking dude...

Holly shit, that guy is ridiculous. I remember hearing about him a while back.
-
Any other pics of this Marko guy?
-
Slavolanan was like the dennis james of his day, huge in the offseason, insane back, but from the front onstage he wasn't all that.

Marko will remain as a genetic freak that never fulfilled his potential due to injuries and other problems. I've seen him live and I can tell you he had the most "shocking" physique despite the fact he was standing next to Coleman, Levrone, Dillett etc.
When Marko placed 7th at a Euro GP, it was evident how much politics IFBB has in its judging. As another example. Vince Taylor got into the finals without one single comparison in case someone's doubting me.

Do you have any pics of him standing next to Ronnie? because looking at these pics, while he's impressive, he doesn't seem as shocking as Ronnie.

Comparison 2

comparison
A couple things:
1. What year is that?
2. Ronnie still looks more impressive (genetics wise) to me. His shoulders are wider relative to his own waist, and his muscle bellies are fuller. Marko's impressive but I think Ronnie has better genetics. notice how Marko's waist looks a tad wider than Ronnie's yet Ronnie's shoulders look wider than Marko's AND his shoulders look like they "insert" wider than Marko's (so it's not just huge delts but his structure that makes him so wide).
-
Yeah thats the video I saw.... Thats the only time I could say that Ronnie was evenly matched!!
-
Damn. That guy in incredible. I had heard the name, but knew zero about him. What is the scoop on where he's at now?
-
that was 1997. and you have to realize that what you are seeing in Marko he achieved with only about 9 months of training. Prior to that he was hardly training at all for the previous 3 years. Compare that with Ronnie's (or Jay's) at least 10 years of continuous training. You are seeing Marko well before his actualy potential would have been realized. BTW, Marko is 5'9" and 242lbs in those show pics and Jay is same height but probably closer to 270lbs. I know it's easy to speculate on what "might have been", but I think by now Marko could have been walking out on stage at 285lbs. The question of your thread was who had the best genetics for BB of anyone you have ever seen. My reply was Eddie Moyzan and Marko. I think the pictures speak for themselves. But DoggCrapp has seen the video from that show and he even thought Marko should have beaten Coleman.
-
I seen the video, his biceps dwarfed even Dillets !! But he is another case of too big too soon and his tendons could not grow fast enuf nor strong enuf to handle the ginormous muscularity !!!
-
and finally, from the front, 97 Finnish Grand Prix.
i think so he only had biceps.whenit comes to over-all arm size his triceps were too small and thats why his biceps looked big...he is nowhere near paul dillett man..and i mean no one else is when it comes to arm size..see for youself man

There's a quote of him in the only Flex mag I have of him saying they had him go on "swole" to bulk up to play Kingpin in the Daredevil movie. Dolph Lungren has also commented on MGM sort of forcing him to do more 'roids than he wanted to for Rocky IV.
As for his height "If you've ever seen the Green Mile, they took this muscle-bound cuddly monster and made him even taller (he looked 7ft+) with special boots and platforms that enabled him to tower over 6ft 4 inch David Morse." He's about 6'4.5

Somehow I doubt Morse is 6'4"

Here he is with 5'10.5 Bruce Willis. Willis might be wearing lifts or chunky boots in the pic.

How he never won Mr. O is crazy.

Sergio Oliva, and I don't think anyone even compares.
Even his son has some of those incredible genetics passed on to him.

Concur! I know a guy who used to work w/ Sergio on the C.P.D. back in the day and he told me it was true he would ONLY eat candy, chips, junky greasy fried food and cakes and goodies all day long and still was hard, ripped and huge at all times.
Plus he'd train from what he told me for 3 hours a day practically 7 days a week...that would make most meltdown, get sick and lose weight.
-
Marko age 21
Tsk, tsk.
It's a shame he didn't wait until later to start roidin' it up.

Arnold.... Flex Wheeler.... and Sergio Oliva. ;D
