Title: How many here are being effected adversely by the high cost of fuel?
Post by: bmacsys on August 17, 2006, 06:10:04 AM
All my vehicles are gas guzzlers and it sucks. I just can't stand the thought of not driving a 1 ton 4WD pick up with a 5.4 liter motor or my jeep with the 4.0. I hate cars. Especially dinky ones that I barely fit in. You can't do anything like hunt or fish or camp out of a car very practically. Two 100 pound dogs will destroy a small cars interior. :(

I was thinking more about my little elf of a wife but since I always drive I would have to take the door off and leave myself hanging half out of the car...Heck most cars the are great on gas end up being a "fat guy in a little coat" chris farley routien when I get in them.

I had a 2004 Ford Ranger fx4 Level II 4wd pick up. I loved that thing but had to get rid of it because my head hit the roof one too many times. Hence my F250 I currently drive.

Let's just say I laugh histerically at any potholes, bumps, and railroad tracks riding that thing. Bring it on! 90% of the times though I drive a 93 Volvo 850 and it feels like driving a blender in comparison.

Man, Volvo's run forever! Getting a half million miles on them isn't that rare.

It's not affecting me.
But i don't care for paying $75 to fill up either.

and i don't think we are paying $3 a gallon becuase of a supply and demand issue.  I think we are paying it becuase of the war we started in iraq and to help the some 15 energy companies further line their pockets.

and that's BULL SHIT!

That's st00pid.  The Volvo probably still runs well. The '91 Caddy is a beater waiting to break down on you.
