He's HARDLY the model I would use for a serious day in the gym...unless you lay in the leg press machine on your cell phone or text message some ho while on the leg extension or check out bitches while squatting...I'd use someone els for better inspiration.

TODAY IS LEGS!!!

Today will be my first time squatting 315! I can't wait to see 3 plates a side resting on my shoulders!! OOOOOOH ONLY 30 MORE MINUTES!!! Time to watch Ronnie Coleman's 800 lb squat for motivation!

Way more motivating than Cormier.

 ;D

I just worked legs and had the "pleasure" of "working in" (or more accurately working AROUND) a playa who did the same things during his "workout", except that he fortunately doesn't squat (imagine that), which made working around his lazy ass a little less of a hassle.

After my six sets of squats, I had to practically throw his ass off between his "sets" of the leg press, hack squat and leg extension. I used each machine one after the other for three sets each, but he had them all tied up at once. He seemed to be doing some sort of bizarre "tri-set" where you rest 15 minutes between each exercise (laying on that piece of equipment, of course) and call the Baby Momma, the homies, the the Lawyer, the Bail Bondsman, etc.

In the 45 minutes or so it took me to do 15 hard sets of quad work, I believe he may have completed one "tri-set"... ::)

I seriously don't understand why nobody on these forums are impressed even the slightest bit by the lifts of a natural bodybuilder's intermediate level lifts. In the gym, school, work etc., 315 for 7 is fantastic. On www.getbig.com it's a warm up set.

I just got back from the gym. I did 315 for 7 which I was incredibly joyous about. Definetely one of the happiest moments of my life. I proceeded with another set, all out, for 6 reps. Then 295 for 10, which caused me to collapse to the ground the moment the bar was racked. The rest of my workout was short and sweet, all 7 sets taken to absolute failure.

Candidate, let's compare intensity and I'd put you to shame.

dont worry about it Figgs, lol  thats just the nature of this site...its not really serious. on getbig anything less than a 1500lb total is 'laughable' and 'pathetic' ;D
realistically, repping with 315 is great for a natural.
canidate couldnt roll 315 across ice ::)

I told this story yesterday, but it fits nicely here too.  I have a client who hates leg day, don't they all.  Well last Friday His office had a beach day.  One guy who looks like he works out was their in shorts.  This is the guy My client wanted to look like, until He saw him in shorts.  20" guns, nice back and chest even monster traps, but doesn't do legs!  He looked so funny on the beach that My boy insisted on doing legs with allot more intensity than ever before.  All he could say is I don't want to look like the flamingo man.  You know the type.  The typical bouncer.  All upper body and no legs.  I try to instill on clients that with a good pair or legs, no one will take you out.  It all comes from the leg's.  He won't be bitching anymore about training legs. LOL

In pumping iron there is a scene ( actually the only leg ) training scene in the movie. Where Arnold and Ed Corney struggle with 315 for ten. And they were not natural. I think Ed struggled to get 12 reps with Arnold spotting. Then he collapsed on the floor. I know most don't consider 315 for 10 a big squat, but there was good intensity in that scene. Both Ed and Arnie's wheels looked good also. I think it has allot to do with the intensity of the workout. There are quite a few scenes in that movie where I was looking at the weights they were lifting. With the exception of Franco Colombo, Even Arnie did not lift heavy most of the time. He would put allot of intensity in his sets, even though weight wise they were light. One scene Arnold had a 25 a 10 and a 5 on each side of the smith machine press. Most would consider that which a girl could do. Arnold was really putting allot into that set and looked to be struggling. The strangest was the scenes of Lou ferrigno actually struggling with 135 on the Incline barbell press. ( He was struggling for sure) not even full reps. He got 12 and almost died. Now both Arnold and Big Lou had big chests. So whatever works i guess.

if these don't get you fired up about training legs nothing will!!  I'm just now starting to appreciate jay's quads...that last shot is incredible, I remember while we were watching the O last year and Jay won the "best legs" I was like no way....looking at the pics now I understand why he won it.

For most people, the sight of their own legs in the mirror should be enough motivation..
