or is this sort of thing your hobby?
;D
-
Should be required, you ain't tired of the "Raise the Roof or Give me applause" yet?
How about the Guest Posing Routine used as a Mr.O routine?
Why not jump in the crowd so no else can see me onstage move.
How about, Improv the entire posing presentation by doing the same pose 3 times.
You prefer the walk from one end to the other and back again routines of today?
At least I tried :-\
-
I think if you were wearing tights.....
it would of helped. ;D
Seriously....how many Pro's really take an interest in a Posing routine? We all know that Paul Dillet gave two shits & hell....look at Kamali.
At what point does it help your career or hurt your career?
-
At this point, no one really cares, why do you think the fans are so bored with the sport :'(

I'll take "raise the roof" over "drop the pants and bend over" routine.
Say no to gayness in bodybuilding! >:(

That's like saying no to straightness for beauty pagents and wet tshirt contests

Shawn, its not the posing routines - its the athletes. Lots of them look great but very few of them can really pull off the showman personality that is needed to build atmosphere.
Basically if there were more arrogant cocks like you bodybuilding would probably be more entertaining (and healthier :) .
Look at Kamali, substandard bodybuilder with a lot of contraversy following him around.

Like it or not Shawn is speaking the truth in this thread.
PS. PDI sucks
-
posing is shitty...with a few exceptions...weak at best...used to be excellent....oh yeah...and shawn is the BENCHMARK for posing....if u don't believe me....grab the mr O 93 video....right on the money shawn...with everything.

BB is hard especially when preparing for a show, but the presentation of posing on a stage for points and claps of the fans is NOT a sport...sport...
If you combined some athletic events with the physique rounds, than it would be a sport - such as benching body weight, reps to failure (most reps wins), squats of 2x body weight reps to failure (most reps wins) and pull-ups (same aplies) and combine that with one or two physique rounds, than it would be interesting and a sport with more objectivity and less subjectivity...

Completly agree here. He nailed all the boring routines that go on over and over and over. Shawn you gotta admit as much as u hate him... kamali does a pretty good job too if he threw in a few more poses.

The Dancing Tamali tries to do is not done very well.
The two poses he hits do not constitute a Posing Routine.
That being said, whenever Tamali is on stage it is entertaining............ .
Just look at him. He has future Mr. O written all over him according to him :-\

So what bodybuilding is missing is a midget ,that spins and twirls!???
Bro,,, you weren't who you were, because of the gayness! First time I saw you,,it was in a magazine,,I thought you had the perfect physique. It had nothing to do with tip toe spins, and twirls, holding your chest ,ever so gently ,while gracefully gliding aacross the stage.. :P

If Shawn said it, then it must be true.

Once again, you are Correct Sir! ;D

were there ever any real fans of bodybuilding though? the only people that care about it are the ones involved.
if you go to any bodybuilding show the audience is composed mostly of friends and family of the competitors.

Yes, back in the 60's, 70's, and 80's!

Shawn.. :-\ do you ever regret saying that?

Yes, back in the 60's, 70's, and 80's!
maybe the 70's, then Arnold retired! :)

I would even say it goes back to the 50's. Steve Reeves made a big impact on bodybuilding, when he was making movies, seems more and more people got into weight training after seeing him, he had an impact on me when I was in high school in the 70's!
-
maybe, I just have never known of anyone that was a fan of bodybuilding per se unless they were involved in it to some degree.
