In the beginning.....I was unsure how I would feel about a Rottie. I always had Labs. Now I can honestly say....I love them. Maybe it's just this pup....but he's smart as a whip like a Lab & except for the size & coloring....I would think he was one.
I expect you say something like "those owners didn't love or train their dogs"
No....actually....they probably trained him to be that way.

My last dog was a lab with the same exact coloring as a Rottie. He was a beautiful and well behaved dog, not like the spas I have now.

those dogs are vicious beasts...i was in petco a few times when one of them attacked my pit bull...she is still traumatized over it.

Unfortunatly this is a case of the wrong party being blamed. There are some assholes that breed animals for their aggressivenss in order to extending their own insecure egos onto these poor animals. They actually breed the most aggressive dogs they can find in order to create these monsters. It is not the dogs fault for these unfortunate maulings, it is the owners and breeders that should be blamed and put in jail. These are the same people that will also give their dogs steroids to make them look bigger and meaner.
People should be aware that many dogs are bred poorly and are actually harming the dogs. The Kennel Club of America actually approves of breeding deformities in dogs. Pure breds dogs have a multitude of genetic medical problems that they have to suffer with througout their lifetime, just to please their owner egos.
Although there are some great breeders out there, they are out numbered by the bad ones. Nothing wrong with pound puppies, their usually healthier and much more intelligent.

Thanks man. Already attempted to be stolen. he stays at my parents house a few days a week when work causes me to spend more than 10 hours out of the house. My mother is in her 60's and walks him constantly. Well she said some random guys drove by and saw the pup. Said they asked her about him and she thought nothing of it. I picked him up later that night. The next morning my father called to tell me someone had been in the yard late that night. I assume people snooping for my pup. He is pretty rare.Hybrid american bulls like him are very rare actually. Couple that with a pedigree and 80 lbs at 8 months old it makes him very desirable for alot of people.
I never thought people actually did that type of shit. Like who steals dogs? But after speaking with a guy at the dog park who has a beautiful male pit name Vegas I learned differently. Vegas was this guys 2nd pure bred pit. I'm not talking everyday pit you see. This is a pure breed specimen of the breed. His first dog "charlie" I guess from the same liter and breeder was stolen from his home!
The neighborhood I live in is pretty nice so I do not worry much. But I am very careful where I leave him unattended. he is a sweetheart and has had alot of hours of training. He is however trained against intruders. He does not like unattended strangers tho. he is 8 months and about 80 lbs of muscle already. I wish luck to the people walking into my yard unannounced or sneaky like!
