So step back, take an honest look at yourself in the mirror, then sit down and look at the montreal video -with an honest viewing, then get up and thank whatever God it is you worship for answering your prayer. Kamali's living in a freaking fantasy world. If this clown had any humility whatsoever he'd realize he got there on a fixed judging system and not his physique. He went from damn near last to a gift 4th in a week in 2 3rd tier shows.......he needs to thank the corrutp judges.....geez, what an idiot!!

Bullshit. Plain and simple thats bullshit. He HATES criticism. Evidently you've not been around the boards for long enough. He was a child here and at mayhem. One comment and he'd be crying like a baby. He had to leave the boards because of the way he reacted to any level of negativity. Everybody around him is super positive because of it, nobody has the guts to tell him he looks like shit because he's obviously unable to take it.
The idea that negativity has given him the fuel to never improve one bit (and get worse in many areas) since his debut is awesome.
Once again, do not fear - Kamali HATES criticism.

Look, I'm not speculating here I'm simply telling you the facts. Anybody who was around the boards at the time can testify to the fact he could not handle any level of constructive criticism. Anything would set him off on a self righteous rant about how he deserved to be treated better and everybody was haters and geeks who didn't know what they were talking about. We're not talking about getbig hate, we're talking about even heavily moderated comments on mayhem being enough to make him angry.
Now, when he first came to getbig (as far as I know/remember before he was on mayhem) he embarassed himself by being a getbig hater. He posted with puppets, tried to drum up exposure for himself, participated and reciprocated plenty of "your mother" level insults etc. Perhaps only goatboy remembers intimate details about this time. Our very own Ron used to think Kamali was absolute dipshit (he won't admit it now but during that time even Ron was unimpressed by his conduct).
Granted, he stepped away from the boards and seemed to grow up (keep his mouth shut) but he is still a child every time he fires at "the haters" because he was very much one of the haters until he decided that things were too tough for himself to handle. Its lucky few remember because nobody here would be defending him if you saw how he used to be on getbig. None of you respect his stupid comments about being mr olympia. Do you think that was a one off?
Do you really think he doesn't care? He waited outside a competition with some "homies" for internet geeks to come fight him :)
And this is coming from someone who openly will admit that he is probably a fantastic guy to meet. He had done well and he should be commended for his hard work. He was - but he came into bodybuilding the wrong way and still hasn't grown up enough to accept that the very thing that annoys him the most is what he was when he first got on here.
As for people suggesting getbig members have the "audacity" to presume that simple comments can get under his skin and actually affect the state of a "Pro" - these people need to get some self respect. Do they really think that a Pro is a higher human being? Baha.
Respect those who respect you, not by default :)

He E-mailed me back a response to send to Tamali that tore him a new asshole. He also gave King his cell phone number and told him where he lived, and invited him to his house so that King could say whatever he had to say to him either in person or on the phone. As far as I know, Tamali never called and has not visited. I wonder why ::)

I think something King has a tough time accepting is that he is a genetic inferior when it comes to bodybuilding.
He tried some methods that work for genetic superiors (ie. ronnie - chad's main pupil) and it backfired horribly (ie. his structure couldn't handle the weight).
The whole point of the sport is to find what works for you and to learn from the past...
Tonie Freeman came straight out and said that he, as a very tall guy, can't train like Dorian Yates because he just gets hurt trying to do that. Dexter grows from training only 3 days per week etc etc...
King has basically wasted the last 5 years doing stupid things to himself when he should have been honest with himself and progressed using an approach suited to his bodytype...

Shawn, at what age do you think most bodybuilders stop having the ability to "progess"??? Is it different for each person?
My point is that as someone gets older and they trey harder to keep their former physique by doing harder drugs, are they really just speeding up their demise???

When I listened to the Radio show with King, he seemed to indicate that he really monitors this board, but does not post for fear that his wife and trainer will kill him. Do you think he posts under assumed names?
Plus, what happened that he hates Muscle Mayhem? Isn't that Chad's site?

Volunteered King to be the Burger King Mascot

Now - Everyone is entitled to their opninion. They are like elbows: everyone has one or two. But in this case, the venerable Mr. King either misread, misunderstood, or just has some serious anxt to pur Muscle Mayhem.com on his thank you list.
We are not like other sites. We support the Pros, but for a Pro Bodybuilder who places 11th in one show, places 4th in another and qualifies for the Olympia only because the others before him qualified, then Mr. King Kamali needs to re-evaluate who his friends and who his haters are in this industry.

Lift, can you explain why Kamali called everyone out on his website rather than try to make amends. He claims he does not look at these boards, fine. Can you explain to him that just when everyone was ready to give him props and respect for his little comeback at Montreal, he made a total boob of himself by calling everyone out again. Like I said a few days ago, I was actually feeling bad for the guy (kamali), then he got his gift placing at the last show (can't think of the name), and he acts like he showed us. ::)
He really should try being humble for change.......he'd win more people over that way.

Yes thats what i dont understand...hes acting like hes done this major achievement by qualifying for the olympia the way he did, and bragging about it and trying to make out hes showed us, when firstly there were people who he should never have placed ahead of and EVERYONE knows it, second, he qualified through a technicality, plus the lineup wasnt exactly stellar...so what exactly has he done that's so good?
does anyone think that he actually believes the shit he says? or do you think its just an act? surely hes not that delusional that he thinks hes achieved something really phenomenal?
btw on the page on his website where his "thankyou list for 2006 ::)" is, if you scroll down the page theres a picture of him sat on a bench, his arms look absolutely TINY compared to the rest of him, it looks like its been photoshopped because they just look like thay dont belong, his right arm is even smaller than his tiny left arm it literally looks like hes got a muscle wasting disease in his right arm in the picture.

yes Gordiano thats the one, his right arm looks really strange doesnt it, very small compared to the rest of him, and that must be one of his better pictures aswell if hes put it on his own site, when i first saw this i was really surprised at how bad his arms look.
