i noticed that after his mr olympia 1992 appearance vince suddenly got bigger and bigger as each year passed by..vince taylor looked at his biggest at mr olympia 2001..also he looked like a fuckin monster from 1996 to 2001..he looked bigger than alot of guys such as shawn ray, ronnie coleman etc..its hard to believe vince never won a mr olympia...i hope vince does well at this years olympia.here are some pics from british grand prix 1996..damn i never knew vince was a fuckin monster
-
amazing back double biceps..vince is on the left
-
I met Vince at the 04 GNC Show of Strength in Atlanta and he was still in great shape...he was talking about coming back and competing again...but it sounded more like a joke than anything...anyways...He was a big fu#kin dude
-
The first time I met Vince was an appearance he made at GNC. Damn, those biceps were hanging off the table. Big dude! :o
-
Those shots are fucken fantastic. Vince, in that condition would be top four in this years Olympia.
When were they taken?
The Beef
-
Yeah, he's got a good shape to him does Vince - good arms and torso in general. Awesome physique that hasn't diminished too much with age.
-
This is from 88 when he won the Nationals, nearly 20 years ago.Check the leg seperation.
-
suffered from a lack of thickness and development in the back and chest.

He was the biggest person to lift!!!

'He was the biggest person to lift!!!'

he looked all cables.
don't get me wrong, impressive as hell. imo he just didn't have an olympia thick back/chest.

-
yes and one legged high rep leg press bull shit.
amazing he had any thickness at all.
anyone that tries that shit, forget being big and strong unless your doing some serious cycles.
-
I remember reading that he never used to squat either. He had a great shape. Too bad that he was around at the same time as the Yates.
-
i remember reading haney believed that vince looked like him and he would be his successor and shit.
don't know which specific drugs made haney say that.
haney had monster thick pecs and back that made his arms look smaller.
vince lacked back and chest which made his arms look bigger.
different structures.

I hung out with Vince quite a lot back in the late 90s and I can tell you that most of the rumors you have heard of his is true.
His training was nothing more than extended warm up sets. Never used heavy weight and very very rarely used free weights. High rep isolation movements.
he was never out of shape or overweight in the offseason.
and his diet was just as people heard it, 2-3 meals per day. None of this 7-8 that people eat.
The man simply had the genetics that everyone else but Ronnie would actually cry tears for.

is it true he'd pig out on burgers and coke within those 2 - 3 meals?
-
yeah, plus he is a construction worker and he works from 6am to 8pm days a week
I would do that, I'd weight 125 pounds

Biceps hanging off the table????? Ok... ???
-
personally, I think if Vince Taylor had shown up at the 1992 Olympia in his 1992 Arnold Classic condition (rather than the infamous pirate that showed up onstage) he could have beaten Dorian Yates that year.
He was that good back then - no real flaws on him. great muscular shape. great detail.
great arms, full back and everything
(http://body.builder.hu/imagebank/pictures/977825448.jpg)
1992 was the year he could have won it all..but didn't
-
Vince was Haney's prediction to be his heir apparent, bit it never materialized. Too bad, as I much prefer his physique to Dorian's.
Great physique and one of the friendliest (if not the friendliest) male pro bodybuilder I've ever met.
-
Vince was always one of my favorites. He had aesthetics and size. His training and diet seemed to work for HIM and that’s all that matters. 21 Pro wins spanning 17 years!

Yeah, but Vince had better arms and calves.
-
incredible contest resume :D
-
Yeah, but Vince had better arms and calves.
better calves - yes by a miile..
but not better arms 8)
wow - when you see Ronnie and Vince compared, they are surprisingly similar!
Vince was amazing!
Can you imagine how it might have changed the course of the sport had he won in 1992?
the reign of the refridgerator might never have happened! 8)

I might have exageratted to a certain extent, according to those pictures! What I really think Vince had that Ronnie didn't have regarding their arms is shape. Vince's biceps appear fuller (Vince has long biceps and Ronnie's are relatively short) and his Triceps (particularly the lateral head of the tricep) have more of a horseshoe shape.

agreed. Vince did have amazing arms though, probably top 5 best ever overall..

although slighly different in shape, they did have very similar looking arms..
Vince, like Ronnie, always had the best arms onstage when he was in shape.
-
Definetely. He probably used to brag about the fact that his arms were bigger than Mr. Olympia's (Dorian Yates). ;D
I can hardly believe all those cable workouts worked so well for him.
-
actually vince was not that big at the olympia 1992..he just got bigger and bigger as each year progressed..he was one of those guys having one of the best shapes ever with considerable size..vince was at his biggest from mr olympia 1995 to mr olympia 2001...vince was just huge during these years

Yeah, and he's stated that he "never was a big guy". ;)
-
he's 240 now in shape at 5'8 that's a big guy.
-
240 at 5'8 is huge when you condsider that both Ronnie and Dorian reached their career peaks at 257 pounds but at 5'11!
he must look insane
