Side note: Dan Quayle wasn't known as the brightest bulb in the lighthouse either.
I wonder if there's been any comparisons made between the two, Quayle and Bush?
IMO, some people may disagree with Dick Cheney, and his political views, but I don't think many people will argue that he's the intelligent man on campus right now.

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me. We all know he isn't the sharpest pencil in the pack.

the president of the united states should ALWAYS be a good public speaker. its just too important of a requirement for that job.
-
Bush would probably be better off if he farted into the mic instead of speaking most of the time 8)

I agree. In fact, I think one of the most important jobs the president has is making everyone feel good. Reagan was great at that.

You know what...
I totally disagree. ;D
I believe it's the politics of the president, what he is doing and what he WANTS, that is important, that is vital.
Being a master of rhetorics like Reagan or Clinton has value, but it's not the core of politics IMO.

Hitler was great at making people feel good lol.
-
hitler made it as well as he did because he was smart, he knew what people wanted to hear and how to play on their emotions, and he was an absolute master speaker.

Well, and that would be part of the politics (ideas and agendas), not part of the rhetorics (being a good speaker).
You need to read my post again, I think. Seems to me we are in agreement, no?

If you cannot say what you mean, you will never mean what you say ;D I agree, the idea is more important but, assuming the idea was worth a shit to start with, what happens to it in the hands of a bumbling fool?...
