As many of you think he looks like shit, you have to give the man his props for putting himself through the rigors of preparing for the show with his condition. Stupid yes but for having to have dialysis everyday he looks damn good. I laugh at all the armchair quaterbacks on here who make dumb comments. It took balls to get back on the pro stage again with no normal functioning kidneys. My props to Don.
Could have looked live Vince Goodrum for chirst sake!!!!!!

He looks a lot better than kamali. his legs were light and he wasn't crisp, but other than that he looked good. Good for him.

Is it balls or stupid? You can't have both man. Most here think he was selfish and stupid and didn't achieve much. If you disagree that is cool, but, I for one think he is a grade A moron for doing what he did.

Don Long has gone on record as saying that he was doing this show and this show only. His reason was that he wanted to end his bodybuilding career on his own terms.
He also stated in an interview in issue 294 of MuscleMag that undergoing dialysis at home daily has him feeling a lot better than the traditional way of taking dialysis three times per week. According to Long, doing nightly dialysis takes out the toxins and fluids more consistently, leaving him in much better shape.

So is a person on this type of dialysis as healthy overall as a normal person or is it not so simple as that? I have a friend on regular dialysis and she tells me she is not in good shape at all.
Looking at Long's interview, he makes it appear as if the three-times-per-week dialysis is "regular" dialysis. He claims that it's less frequent but more intense. The days of toxin buildup combined with the harsh dialysis is why Long claims he felt lousy.
