Title: CAN / AM appreciation thread
Post by: 24KT on September 24, 2006, 04:40:18 PM
Just a few things I like about Canada & America:

I like the American Constitution and all that it stands for
I like Canadian universal health care.
I love Canada's commitment to human rights
I like Southern California weather
How can you not love a country that brought us Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie  :P
I love Canada's multiculturalism and the benefits it affords us to truly get to know our neighbours on the planet
I like poutine, and Tim Hortons
I like the fact that we can cross-border shop til we drop

Wow, Judi, I can't believe you admit to liking poutine!!!  ;D

I wonder which is worse, grits with white gravy, or poutine?  :P

He's just venting his frustration from getting booted off "Dancing With the Stars"  :P

...besides, how is it Canada's fault, ...it was a satellite screw up? It's the broadcaster that feeds the satellite.

new Can / Am point of appreciation:

I appreciate the fact that Tucker Carlson is in the USA.  :D  I hope he stays there.

I think that tonight, a guest brought up comments made by someone about 911 - Tucker went "no no no no no you're not talking about that on my show" and immediately redirected.  I was only half-watching, so I could be wrong.

I do know for a fact that Tucker made a statement that "anyone who questions the official 911 story is hurting our country".  Problem is, the very writers of the 911 Commission say it has errors and is incomplete and there are many unanswered questions.

For someone who calls himself a libertarian, he sure doesn't act like it.
