Title: Positive effects of the Adonis Diet
Post by: Bast000 on September 24, 2006, 09:09:49 PM
I can eat any food I want now.  Any food craving I have I satisfy it and am able to stay lean or get leaner (if I go lower calories) if I want.

My strength improved while dieting when I lowered protein and increased carbs.

Stength is going up every workout so far after dieting.

I can drink alcohol anytime I want.  I just lower calories elsewhere.

I am saving a lot of money buying less meat and not having to buy protein powder.

I don't have to eat foods I don't like.

I don't have to cook anything if I don't feel like cooking.

 :)

It is the greatest thing ever.

Totally functional and results oriented.

You can shape yourself anyway you see fit eating anything you want.

The negative effects are:

birdlike portions of the food you like that will only temporarily ease hunger.

Great diet, in theory.

My point is that its easier to satisfy your hunger eating "clean" food and still stay within a caloric deficit diet. I for one cant stop at 2 slices of pizza, however my hunger can be satisfied with one cup of brown rice.

I don't feel that way at all.  The same amount of calories of anything fills me up just the same.

really? Can your body/digestive system identify calories like that and signals to the brain that its full?

If so, I think you would be in the minority.. You know Adonis' diet is very similar to the "points" system used by weightwatchers.

Well, moderation of course for alcohol.   You have to eat less food during the day to allow youself to drink alcohol.   Of coure drinking too much and making yourself sick and getting a hangover would be counterproductive.

Alcohol is toxic for a human body and processed by the liver. It prevents fat (whether from a diet or own bodyfat) getting burned.

How much do you actually eat at each sitting? a few bites?

i've ran through all the threads of what these guys are eating on this diet and in order to make 1500 calories you would be eating VERY small meals, if you want to call them that.

just think, 2 reeses cups are roughly 200 calories...

You said you were consuming around 1300-1500 at one point right? i can't follow everything because each day you post something different.

Of course you haven't told anyone how...that is the problem.

Explain how many cals your trainees are consuming and why...i'm curious.

i'd consider your diet if it made sense.

If Adonis told these guys about his miracle diet and they've been following it, why didn't they come in with the conditioning Adonis had in the MGB?

From the discription, this sounds like the Weight Watchers diet. How good you look depends on how much muscle mass you tend to lose during kcal restriction. Drink a little and reduce kcal there. If things really worked like this, Mr O, Mr Natural O, and all olympic level athl. would be doing this wouldn't they.
