milk is your choice.... have a shake or light meal about 30-45 minutes pre-workout

Not a big fan of milk, not an efficient source of protein when you factor in carbs and calories. In my opinion, straight whey with water pre-workout is the best choice. I would stay away from simple carbs such as rice because I wouldn't want my energy level to crash during my workout. If anything, try a slow disolving type carb such as in brocolli or whole wheat pre-work out.

pre for me is usually a little oatmeal, some fruit and shake with casien/whey. Sometimes its chicken and potatoes. post is always about half a gatorade and 40-55g whey protien with water and banana.
