Title: Need info about Creatine
Post by: thom on September 25, 2006, 11:10:47 AM
Hi. I'm quite new to training, I've bought some protein powder and have been thinking about getting some creatine tablets. I've read that creatine helps muscle repair and also provides the muscles with energy when training, so my question is will I still burn body fat (as I carry some around my waist that I want to get rid of) while using creatine at the same rate as not using creatine or will the creatine act as an energy source and slow fat burning down? Thanks

get some creatine but i wouldnt buy creatine tablets...get powder...look for creapure creatine...prolab is good.

no creatine will not prevent you from burning body fat...you need to make sure your diet is on point.

Yeah, go with the pure and take 5-10g before training and 5-10g after with some Gatorade and your post shake.

Good advice, and you can substitute dextrose for gatorade (which, in  powdered form, contains both dextrose and sucrose; liquid gatorade contains fructose).  I picked some dextrose up at a home brewing store for little cost.
