Seems to me that banning someone that is as popular as Lee Priest cannot be the brightest business decision. Priest puts asses in the seats...draws people to the expo...basically makes the IFBB more money

They dont care they want to send a message.....and the other athletes for some unknown reason listen...go figure..

It's because they all need what little money they get from IFBB wow $1000 for 5th at any Grand Prix now that's big money. All the best Lee you win either way $30k for a day you would have to win three Aussie shows for that amount.Hope the Promoters are reading this.Give more Money.

Simple suppression of a difficult person.
If that difficult person does not manage to convince others to do the same they win.

I have to agree with Lee being banned, as he broke the rules and the ONE rule he broke happens to be one of the ones that helped build pro bodybuilding into the multi million dollar business that it is. (granted very little of that is filtered down to the athletes)
However I also agree with Lee's comments on enforcing the rules, ALL rules should be enforced, Jewellery onstage? trunks covering more than 75% of the glutes, this really ticks me off, come on how gay does that look, if your glutes are in shape they are gonna been noticed no matter what, just check out Gaspari at the 85/86 Olympia's. Drug testing?? Come on, this rule only applies to tested events, if it is a non tested show then whats the problem???
I have only seen Lee live once, Pro Ironman '04, and the dude thore the house down, I actually couldnt beleive his arms were that impressive.
Back to the main topic, should he be banned?? YES
Should he have his hearing/appeal prior to the Olympia yes what would it take a couple of hours to plead his case!!

if the IFBB bans Lee than they will deserve what they get... Lee has a tremendous following and a cult group of fans... so if you alienate one man, it will actually be a giant number of people are alienated... i think the IFBB is banking on his fans not being loyal to him... right...
