"the year is 1998. its roughly 10:30pm in a packed theater at the Mandalay
Events Center in Las Vegas"
I think that someone of even flex's mental capacity should recall that the 98 O was in nyc
-
as Flex is human, people do make mistakes and something that happened about 8 years ago...one could forget where it happened. he writes his columns.

Yeah...seems like everyone forgot that Mike Francois won his first 4 pro shows. It drives me nuts when these writers talk about Phil Heath's 2-for. "Nobody since Flex Wheeler has won their first pro show..."
Whatever.
sorry, it just pisses me off that nobody remembers Mike.

He was an all the way big dude.

Did he win any shows? I am not trying to flame, just curious, I can't remember. He was a big dude too, although I remember Francois won the Arnold in the 90's or something wasn't it?

I don't think Burke won anything on the pro lever...Maybe Toronto?
Mike won the Chicago Pro and Night of Champions in 1994 and the Arnold and San Jose in 1995.

I think you might be correct regarding the Toronto Pro. People were looking at him to do some interesting things at the Olympia for a few years too if I remember correctly. Shame about both guys and their respective health problems.

Yes Orville was a great guy it's a shame the Doc messed up big time.If time don't get you hospitals will.

Francios was one of the TOP competitors in the mid nineties. He was the Dexter Jackson of his day, not physique wise but threat-wise.
-
Shit. Forgot about him winning the NOC in '01. Jay's Olympia screwing caused me to forget the entire competitive year!

There builds are nothing alike.....I mean they both are a threat to win any show they entered, save the O.

I remember seeing Francois at a gym in Missouri, he was so wide he practically had to enter the door sideways. Unbelievable size.

Say what?
You mean a title like "Is you in or is you out" wasn't well thought out?
