Title: Regarding the Olympia Webcast!
Post by: Stavios on September 29, 2006, 07:32:41 PM
- first, your webcast sucks big time ! it keeps frozing every 3 seconds even at the 100k
- second, that blonde girl piss me off she should just shut up so when can see the competitor
- third, this is the worst quality ever for a webcast, the free ones at BB.com were better

240, you are the man, find an idea to let the IFBB that the fans hate them

The moment I heard it was a one-year webcast contract, I called them on it.  Asked for guarantees of quality, asked for details of the show, and refund policies.
No answers were ever given.

Of course, I cannot comment on the quality of the webcast or the operations of the firm.  All I can do, is maybe suggest that anyone who is unhappy should contact hardBody or its staff.  i'm sure if they know you have trouble, they'll be happy to make things right.  Wouldn't they?

Flex may have stretched the truth on the whole ninja thing.

But completely alienating the entire online bodybuilding fanbase for a one-time paycheck?  Who is he, Bill Phillips?

No way Flex was involved in something so shady.  Must be a small technical issue.  I am sure that he'll be online tonight after the show.  And I'm sure that instead of showing guilt by censorship and deleting these threads, he'll address our concerns.

I'm SO sure of it that I'm clicking 'notify' at the bottom of this screen, and I encourage you all to do the same.  I'm really looking fwd to hearing the explanation, and assurance that it's safe to buy tomorrow's webcast.

Short horizon issue.  One year thing.  Everyone signs up, you spend the minimum, and then you "do what you can and blame the mistakes on everyone else."

I emailed them to bitch and here is their response:

"Network engineers are trying to resolve the problem at this moment but we are at their mercy (Embarq)"

Before anyone makes any crazy assumptions, I'm sure that CQ's response from them is NOT an attempt to 'pass the buck'.   After all, Embarq offers a nice wealth of temporary bandwidth solutions.  Being at their mercy would entail limited resources - and Embarq offers highly scalable solutions.

I wonder what Embarq failed by not renting them enough bandwidth.  Very cool of Hardbody to point out Embarq's mistakes.

No Stavios, it is just great! How dare you suggest otherwise!

The fact that my screen has blacked out during the ex-champions fitness routine, considered to be of the best routine queens out there is great!

Better still - here is the message I get now!

"Due to problems with the line from the event location, we are switching to a high capacity satellite feed. This will be live momentarily. Our apologies for the delay"

And I nothing but a black screen.

Honestly, this is some quality coverage here!

Honestly, if I was Flex /Hardbody I would refund the monies to those that ask even though they are not legally liable to.

Having had my own company for over a decade, I realize the importance of not pissing people off. Old adage - a pleased customer will tell 1 or 2 people, an unhappy customer will tell 15 people.  Word gets around. If Hardbody/Flex care at all about their business reputation it would be more financially prudent to return say $1,000 than have such momentous damage to their rep which will negatively impact all their future endeavours.

Right - All 3 of them are the public faces of the company, and therefore they either get really good, or really bad, press from the quality of the webcast.

*IF* it was indeed the fault of Embarq, then hardbody should pull refund the customers and sue embarq for not delivering what they promosed.  IF Embarq did fulfill their end, then it means Hardbody didn't purchase the best program and would be at fault.

At the end of the day - IF hardbody does blame embarq, then refunds to fans should be automatic.

It's going to be interesting what Flex's response is.  He's been made the marketing "face" of Hardbody; now we'll see if he has any real say-so.  If he's truly comitted to his newfound ideals, he'll come out and take some resposibility and try to offer unsatisfied customers something.  If not, it makes you wonder how much of the old Flex who shot the house up and told his fans to piss off is still lurking in Ken Wheeler.

I do wonder just how much clout he has in this.  He's not CEO or CFO.  He's the guy that the magazines still interview and promotes the company.

Of course, I'd feel worse for him if he hadn't told everyone who'd listen how he blew everything he ever made in bodybuilding.

Hardbody Entertainment can suck my balls.

The incredible shitty option of the webcast wasn't even available.  I tried to get on for over 30 minutes and kept getting re-routed to a page that said "Error in generating License.  Please try again."  Well, after about 10 attampts to give Flex and Co. my money, I realized it wasn't going to happen.    Not only that, but there was no way to contact any type of help desk for customer support.

So, in closing...  Flex, I realize you are not the main man, but let the higher-ups know that they ruined the O for a lot of people by taking away our PPV option.

Hardbody Entertainment, purveyors of crappy prejudging and terrible online connections.

Now somebody get the red-ass and delete my thread.

Errr...okay then...

I have no idea what that means. I would like to blame the fact that English is not my first language, but it actually because I am a moron.

I guess that I should ammend this post.  When I was balancing my checkbook Sunday night, reconciling it with my online statement, I saw a charge for 24.95 for hardbodyentertainment.  I was somewhat vexed.  I logged on to the site and entered my username/password and, lo and behold, it worked.

So I did get to see to whole show...

THE DAY AFTER IT HAPPENED!!!!!!!!

Guess I'll ante up and spend the $20 for the DVD now, so at least I have something to show for this fiasco.

Congrats, Flex and company.  Your little ruse worked to perfection.

Triple-H...trust me I understand.

I would like to get the DVD out I care not to put more money in their pockets.

But if I break down and do, as I do have every fitness and figure Olympia DVD since it's inception, I will go mad and copy the DVDs and pass it for free to everyone and anyone.

I do query if he will reappear here, and if so, when. When he does I will be armed and ready, and will be bumping numerous complaints threads to the top. I will be laying in wait like a panther. I will operate with the stealth of a navy seal. I will bump like no one has ever bumped before.

Assuming I am online of course

Why hasn't Flex addressed this yet?  It's a matter of common courtesy.

Cuz he is the same selfish prick that he has always been.  I hope that he enjoys his one time payout, cuz nobody will ever support anything he ever does again.  Flex, we all knew that you were an asshole, but this bs has solidified the fact that you are an asshole with no common sense, loyaly, or business sense at all.  You deserve every moment of shittiness in life from this point forward.  On behalf of all your former fans/ supporters............FU CK YOU!!!!!

Don't bite the hand that feeds Mr. Wheeler.  I am stuck on band-aid, cuz bandaid is stuck on me, but once it comes off I will always remember the scar that you have left on us fans.  You're pathetic, and you will justify my assessment even more by ignoring all these threads, have your bitches Shawn/ Bob delete them, or finally coming on and threatening every one.  I am ashamed I gave you 25 bucks, when I was so opposed to do so.  Instincts are everything, and I am to blame for ignoring mine.  BTW, did I say Fuck you Flex Wheeler yet?  Good luck in the future, cuz you're really going to need it.  I suggest every here boycotts any company affiliated with Flex from this point on.

Let's bets on how long this posts takes to be deleted.  By the way as soon as it is, i have it posted to a word doc to put on every board.  Happy trails ninja boy

This should've been a thread about how great the Olympia was.  How exciting it was to see cutler finally win.
How well recieved Priest was by fans.

Instead it is about how screwed up the webcast was.

And to add salt to the wounds, no response from hardbody ent/Flex wheeler.

This is a very bad business practice.
Even  when T-shirts don't show up, or an online order gets screwed up....The "peanut gallery"  steps to the plate and admits when a mistake is done and work to rectifiy that.

Shame on you Hardbody Ent/Flex Wheeler.
You just lost more business than you gained on your Olympia webcast.

Title: Olympia Weekend Live Webcast - Customer Service Statement
Post by: OLYMPIA WEBCAST on October 09, 2006, 11:42:47 AM
The recent Olympia Weekend webcast was a successful milestone in bodybuilding and fitness media.  It was the first time that this premier event was featured as an extended live, 2-day, 20 hour show.  Live action, exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes and much more were covered by 9 cameras as a broadcast quality production.  In addition to this special, unedited presentation, viewers had exclusive, on-demand access for 7-days, another first for the sport!

The webcast provided for continuous, uninterrupted live video and audio.  However, there was a brief, 30 minute drop in transmission quality from 500K to 100K stream on Friday night.  The problem was due to line capacity with the Sprint DSL transmission line but service was quickly switched to a secure microwave system and back to 500K without any interruption to paying viewers.  As well, we provided for live, on-line customer service during the 20 hour webcast for all customer service problems.  During this period, we handled 293 multiple purchases due to more than one computer usage.  Also, 193 technical support tickets were opened of which 179 were immediately resolved during the live webcasts.  Only 11 requests for refund were received and issued and most of the complaints involved the following:

    * Dial-up connectivity and inability to view with broadcast quality;
    * Inoperative or corrupted media player;
    * Multiple purchases upon accessing webcast throughout the weekend instead of using login and password each time; and
    * 500K to 100K stream interruption for 30 minutes.

Customer refunds have been issued for all legitimate technical service complaints and will continued to be honored.  If you have a complaint, please contact us at service@olympiawebcast.com.  Provide the following information so we can research your compliant:

    * Complete name (no forum user or alias names)
    * Telephone number
    * E-mail address and password used for purchase
    * Internet service provider (cable, telephone, wireless, etc., company name)

On behalf of Hardbody Entertainment and Flex Wheeler, thank you for your business.  We hope you enjoyed the Olympia Weekend live webcast and 7-day on-demand access.
