Post by: Marty Champions on October 01, 2006, 10:14:02 AM
im not sure what the overall effects are im not losing strength, but ive got leaner if not put on muscle, hard to tell, definitly havent got fatter, water levels cosmetically seem to really change up though when sleep deprived.

probably getting about 5-6 hours of sleep a night for the past 5 days, before that i was getting 8, ive been doing reading about this, and many changes go on when sleep deprived, there seems to be negatives as well as positives. ill keep you posted

question is how do i regain the sleep lost, or could i regain it? how did i get by with sleeping less and still feel pretty good? obviously chemicals in and hormones have changed for this to occur, on the internet there is alot that goes on i have found about reading on this subject. when getting less sleep i get alot more done thats for damn sure!

a simple basic theory i have is that i am having high insulin levels from the coffee but not much calories coming in, that in itself is intersting, because and obese person would have high insulin but ALOT of calories which would be bad. i think i may be crashing out harder at night, but possibly getting a lesser amount of growth hormone released at night, gh and insulin are somewhat opposites but also synergistic in somewhays, all very interesting. its seems that in bodybuilding as a whole now a days there are no real new wave thinkers in the buiz no one really has a passion to look at these sort of topics and figure out the many puzzle peices, maybe somepeople here more intellegent can help me out on this topic and truly find some new interesting legendary principles

me and adonis have layed the groundwork now we need people to step up to the plate

daddywaddy have you noticed that you're sleeping deeper even though you're sleeping less? I'll take 5 hours of deep deep sleep over 8 hours of light sleep any night. Quality over quantity.

I don`t get too much sleep either.
But......

The longer the sleep the better.  Not for the GH release and recovery bullshit,  but because for 8-10 straight hours you are not eating....No caloires are coming in....You are running solely on stored fuel and the remainder of what you ate that day.

yes, normally with 8 hours of sleep i would dream alot and remember the dreams. but with 5 hours of sleep i am out and dont remember shiat!

i feel slightly dehydrated in the eyes however even though im drinking tons of water, but i feel fantastic today really.

I always wake up after 5 hours of sleep or so to go piss so while I'm at it I grap a light snack to keep anabolic. Then I go back to sleep for another couple of hours.

i have read some articles that may have proven that , you can train your body to sleep less with out any negative side effects..

extra coffee for me has kept my body in a hyper state which has caused me to sleep less, that is why all of this is happening but i have been a coffee drinker for years, coffee does act like much like cocaine too to an extent of course.

id say im getting about 6 large spoonfulls of instant coffee grounds perday
