I think Freeman could be a major force in the next couple years, but in 5-6 years or may less, HEATH may be the next great thing???? The guy is so young to be so good now.
-
I wouldn't be suprised if the Olympia switched around the next few years and then another dynasty started (probably Heath).
-
I think with guys like Heath, Rockel and Anthony things could be heading in a different direction.

Rockell got the biggest screwover in the O this year; didn't even make top 15

:D :) and I feel strongly that Tony Freeman may be one of the best of the new breed.
Heat is still in his mid 20's isn't he. Hmmmm, he could be the deal,I just got pumped on the sport again.
Jay will need to keep his waist in check to retain his title, let the battles in 2007 begin!
This could be the start of the greatest era ever in bodybuilding.
-
Freeman is already 40 yrs. old. Not likely that he'll be around too much longer.

The great era passed with Shawn, Flex, Kevin and a couple of others. You cant be thinking Heath, Jay, Anthony, who finally got it together for one show, Freeman and Martinez. Be for real here. Jay is in it for the money. Will be as dry as Yates. That's the reason there was no emotion during the upset. Dont give me the relax guy stuff like the other users on this board. Flex and Kev top end smoke the other guys BIG EASY.

heath will be a 1st tier pro for years to come...i dont know if he will ever win the olympia but he will place high every year...next year he will beat martinez and melvin.
-
..not just Phil Heath, but what about Richard Jones?....I think he went back to college or something, but I think that he's going to come back and when he does, he'll be a legit threat. I see the future looking bright for the new guys!

RJ will be back and next year is a good chance to see him up on stage. Will see if he does AC in March. It is a speculation yet if Phil is going to do the O next year. He may want to take a couple years to really bring up his already great physique. But if he does decide to do the O 2007, it will be interesting to see the two on stage as their physiques resemble each other.

There is no future for Heath in the IFBB.
-
Any word on the Heath DVD? I thought he was supposed to release it at the expo
-
A long as Heath is hungry for the wins and is determined he will be Mr Olympia. Jay proved this fact....
I believe in my heart that Phil will be Mr O. Too much potential to waste!!
-
Heath and Jones is what a lot of fans want to see as mr O. Not what the judging criteria dictates though.

If determination and hunger were factors, dont you think Mentzer, Platz, Gaspari, Labrada and Ray would have won? They appeared to have what it took.
-
Im talking about persistence and following your dreams no matter the cost or the odds.
Ronnie did it, now Jay.
Phil has everything needed to become Mr Olympia. He is young and the future is wide open.
-
You could be right about the wanting it so bad, you persevere(and increase the dosage), just like Ron an Jay,and utimately take it. And I was amazed 1st time I saw Heath's shape and the way he's put together and if either he or Jones were to win the big one, thats the direction this game should take in my eyes. But, I dont know if the precedent set since 84 will allow for the better guy to pervail, its usually the bigger guy nowadays.

One show ?? SO it was a lucky chance Victor and Freeman did so well this year ? Flex and Kev are gone - so it is time for you to relax. Pay for a ticket and goto the actual shows and stop listening to radio shows and looking at pictures.
Phil , anthony, freeman, victor - are the new era ....IT'S TRUE

Yeah i think youre right. Freeman looked awsome. Vic is like almost there i dont know what he needs to do but he is almost there. And melvin came in without as much water and it showed. Damn the new era is here.
-
It is going to be a hell of an ARNOLD CLASSIC
wow -
-
The Arnold 2007 will DEFINITELY be THEE show of the year to attend. Melvin finally put it all together and showed he can back up his trash talk. Victor showed what he looks like diced. Dex is the defending champ and Toney Freeman is moving up in the game. Pit those guys against Phil Heath and that's one helluva top 5 lineup.
-
so what happens to athletes like cook and king duvall?

B###h...I was at the Colorado Pro Show. Grad school stop my migration to Vegas. See you at the Arnold. Talk what you know. Nice mix bag of pros you have there with Ronnie going down.
-
Most likely Phil Heath & Richard Jones' jaws dropped when learning of Ronnie's defeat
Phil probably thought he could sit this year out and next year knock the former Mr Olympia off the block
