Title: DENNIS JAMES and Olympia 9th Place - Milos' thoughts?
Post by: Militia-Men on October 02, 2006, 04:43:46 PM
Milos, maybe you can give us your thoughts on DJ's placing at the O.
Considering how close you are to DJ, can you also give us an insight into what he also thinks about his position, how he looked at the show, what went wrong (AGAIN because he clearly looked better in his pre-show photos) and what his plans are now that he has to requalify for the O next year.
Thanx

He plans to re-qualify for the O 4 days from now - in Austria...

He is not too pleased with 9th place - he was hoping for more comparisons...

Photos leading up to the contest are done after complete intense workout when he would be totally pumped...and what you see on those pics and what was presented on stage is very, very close...The rest (abs and legs) not visible in precontest photos were not as good as we were both hoping for...Dennis would not mention to everyone as people would take it as an excuse - but my wife Milamar called me in Santa Susanna (week before the Olympia0 telling me that Dennis wants to pull out from the contest due to stomach problems...He had severe pain for days and every time he had a meal he was in trouble...

We announced that he would come on stage BIG and that's what he delievered...
In Austria he will be even bigger - but this time hopefully with better control of his midsection and quads...

Sad day when a bodybuilder has to have "better control of his midsection". You never had that Milos, neither did Shawn, or the early Flex Wheeler

DJ is massive and awesome it is a shame these guys can't say they are sick because of the cry of lies or deaths door. Some of these guys compete after major problems so as to not get the IFBB fine or the shit they get from Trolls.

milos dj seems to going in the wrong direction the last few years.

what do you think about him coming in lighter next year?  just focus this offseason on presenting a more streamlined physique?

or do you think he has to go the mass monster route and continue to try to improve his midsection?

DJ did that at the New York Pro this year...and I told him that was a huge mistake...
He would not beat guys like Melvin, Phill, Darrem, Dexter...etc with streamlined physique...but with crazy muscle mass...

Expect DJ to be 10 -15 pounds heavier at the Austrian Grand Prix... ;D

If the mass is #1 criterion in BB - he will bring it ...and than some...

Jay, Ronnie, Markus, DJ, Joel, Manfred...and few others at the Austrian Grand Prix will be...something to watch.
Gratz (if I am not mistaking City where Arnold was born) - here they come...

absolutly, that's what I say all the time to Hedgehog when he says that Kamali and Dennis should come in lighter

THEY WON'T REDUCE THEIR WAISTLINE BY DOING THIS !

Dennis looks way better when he is big, like at the 2005 Charlotte Pro

king has looked good in the past...back when he won the collegiate nationals as a light heavy he was impressive.

i agree on dj staying big...his waist really isnt that wide...he just really needs to get the distended stomach under control.

I think hes on the slide to put even more weight on would make him look even more out of proportion, he lacks leg size and his waist is expanding so even if he grows his legs the increased size from his waist will take away from his gains, in my opinion he looked better when he first came on the scene, infact Heath reminds me a little of him, he needs to drop weight to find proportion and work on his lines which are now gone, crazy arms delts and chest.

Milos how come all your guys are having probs with their waists, Gustavo, Dennis and Wood all look great standing there or in most musculars but as soon as they start to pose and put their arms up, they just lose the moment, their bellies are really pre truding quite badly especially when arms are up, too much loading you think, is it possible to use insulin to load without expanding your waist line, you seemed to be able to do it, all be it at a lower bodyweight, how come they cant, you holding a few tricks for the big comeback ;)

Think how it must feel when you continuously make the top 10 at the Olympia...when people like Dennis Wold, David Hanry, Paco...etc can't even make the top 15...

DJ managed to beat some great guys and could/should have beaten few more...

Milos you are always swinging the sword for the Pros and I know how you feel about the judging in the IFBB but you and I know those in Power will place you well out of the money when you get back on stage now that won't bother you as you have Money$$$.                                                                                                       But think of the others and know why you don't get the support you should.Keep up the fight without you there is no one except Lee and now he is no longer IFBB.

C,mon Milos.. With all due respect. Anyone who has dieted down several times and knows there body well knows that It will not be possible for Dennis to come in bigger ( in this short period of time )
Right after the Mr O, and at the same time bring his waist down and add cuts to his quads. There are no secret formulas or tricks that some of these guys think. Anyone with a firm grasp on Exercise physiology and AAS pharmacology would know that. Having said that. Dennis will look the same. " Like he always does" on stage year after year after year...  Now that's not a Dis to Dennis. I like his physique and I don't think he gets placed high enough. He's huge and cut. Has the best
" Most muscular" of anyone !! I'm saying stop making these guys think there are magic potions to contest prep....
*** Well I guess you are trying to make money off them..

No offense taken bro. You have to remember that I was bringing him down not up in weight while trying to keep him as full as possible. There was not much more I could do in less than three weeks between two shows.

Hey choir boy I was trying to be polite.

So lets make it clear, you bringing up a stomach illness at this point of the game is simply an EXCUSE.    If DJ had finished in the top 6 you surely would not even had mentioned the issuedof a stomach illness. Likely you would be talking about how hard DJ worked  hard ect ect, again not talking about the illness at all.

Sure everybody gets sick has problems ect ect but do not put the issue out there after the fact and expect people say oh yeah that its....he was sick.

-keep it real-
