Title: ruhl should have placed higher
Post by: IceCold on October 03, 2006, 08:40:13 PM
anyone here think ruhl should have placed higher?

he improved his hamstrings and back and was one of the hardest guys in the show.

he was much harder and bigger than melvin, who got another gift.

he was thicker and harder than freeman.

gustavo?  please.  he was so off.  not one cut in his legs.  looked like he forgot to take diuretics.

Hi,

Markus was not in his all time best condition (ok, but not ripped like some other guys). But Markus have one of the most impressive physique in Bodybuilding. His Upper Body (from the top) is unbeliviable thick/dense, wide....but he had to cut his "back-side" more, and improve his general condition by 5-10 %.

I saw him training many times in his gym. He is really a hard worker, "believe me". Maybe in Graz next weekend he is able to get his direct qualification for next years Mr. Olympia. If he do so, than he can come next year with further improvement. In the past he had a lot of work outside of Pro-Bodybuilding (marriage,
built a house, being owner of a Gym which he bought from a friend).

I watched both presentations....Ruhl came in with more of a complete package & defintion.  Melvin has a posing routine....nothing that "wowed" me at  all.

really? you think markus' package was better? im not going to argue your personal opinion because you could be/probably are correct. If it were up to me; however, I would still put Melvin ahead of Markus, there is the advisory to remember. I could care less if Ruhl came in with a few percent better defination, bottom line is his waist is too wide and he comes off blocky thus not brining the "perfect package".

he comes in blocky and with a wide waist bc he is 285 pounds onstage.

anyone can come in small with a slim waiste (a al melvin), but how many people can show up and be the biggest AND the hardest?

dont judge the waist if you're not going to look at the shoulders...yes Markus has a wide waist but so does Jay, having massive shoulder span will make you look alot better and this is why markus looked amazing! He kept a massive size and shrunk the waistline/gut.

I would have had Markus and Freeman both ahead of Gustavo in this show.  Gus was off on his conditioning, especially in his legs.

I will say Melvin came in with a pleasing physique....

but Ruhl has the shock & awe.....condition & a smaller waist than past competitions.

They are two different types of bodybuilders & If I had to place one over the other...it would be Ruhl over Melvin.

Just how I am...thats all.

Markus owns a gym?

did not know that

The gym is called "Ottwald-Gym". It's located in Kelsterbach, a small city near to Frankfurt-Airport (Germany).
It`s only 2-3 minutes away from the airport. He owns that gym on 01.01.2006 together with a friend, who is
a comp. Amateur Bodybuilder (Steffen Hammerschmidt).
You can see his gym in his last DVD "Made in Germany" (But at that time the owner where Thomas Brucher, a former Amateur Heavyweight, who give me a free membership for the gym for 2 years).
It`s still a hardcore gym, no aerobic, wellness....just sweat & iron....

I'd love to someday visit Germany.

Markus seems very cool and I'm sure the gym is excellent!

the adress of his Gym is, "Mainstraße 35" (near the main river), "Kelsterbach" (City), Tel. (0049)6107-5566,
1 Day membership is 7 Euro (8 $). Markus trains most of the time in the late afternoon, around 5 PM (but don`t smalltalk while training).
