Title: Momo

How far do you think he would have taken it, had it not been for his untimely demise?

Not one of the taller contestants(5'3"), but won quite  few high-profile shows of his time. Last man to beat Yates before his reign NOC 1990.

He's the pioneer of the wake up in the middle of the night to eat system. Somehow qualified for World Champs without actually competing, so his first show was the World Championships 1987, in which he won the lightweight division and got his pro card!

I think he was in he 180-190 region as a pro, in freaky conditioning(which ultimately cost him his life)often beating men that were much taller, and outweighed him by 50lbs(only guy his height was Brisbois).

Were it not for him overdoing it, with the advancement of things(gh, etc), perhaps the guy was gonna be the first 230lb 5'3" contest-shape-with-a-v-taper competitor ever!
Problem is, he probably would have overdone something else somewhere down the line anyway. I think he started training in 85, 87 he turned pro! Probably used from day one. Very intense stuff!

I think he has one of the top 10 physiques of all time.  Pound for pound one of the biggest...

He never knew the phrase, too much of a good thing is not good...

Apple Diet = Dead BB

GH distention? I've not really closely scrutinized his nipples(its not my thing), but it appears, upon closer inspection, that the right pec contracts in a diferent way to the left, presumably a genetic thing, hence giving the appearance of asymmetry. You'll notice when unflexed in other pics, its not the case.
As for the apple-pureeing thing, whatcan you do, dude overdid it. Thats pro bbing, pushing the envelope.

You need to research him more, look at a ton of Momo pics and tell me he wasnt gyno-ed and distended at the END of his career/life.

yakety yak...He was heavy user of diuretics, and that kill him. In fact, one of his personal friends live in Finland at the time, and I know both of them, so I don't have any reason to question his story. Friend name was Fathi Krishi, former bb:der from Libya. Win our national Heavyweight competition back in the 198X, but fail in the drug test. Momo used to stay in his house while he was in competition on this side of globe. Great guys, both of them. Fathi was married with our only female BB:ing world champion, Marjo Krishi.

Jaejonna, I was around and following bbing when Momo was competing and alive, so I dont need to research. As for the gyno, sure, but you're making it sound like Columbo in 81, wasnt that bad, and dude was not deformed.
Great bber, not a good example, but good. My aim for this thread, was to ask you and fellow board-members how he'd do in todays comps. Your remarks on gh dist. , and gyno lead me to think he'd blend in just fine. ;)

Momo was awesome...but I feel he was at the end of a rope.  I don't think he could have pushed his physique to keep up with Kevin, Shawn, Dorian, etc....

His gyno was looking terrible.

That would be Lee Haney in '91.

You're right, Yates won NOC '91, then took 2nd to Haney, my mistake.

Last man to beat Yates before Haney beat him for the last time at the O, then. ;D

Mohamed Benazziza beat Nasser many times, just like most big names.
You forget that he was second at the Arnold Classic when Taylor won. He won the Night of Champions (1990) and was a finalist in the Olympia for many years. His legs were incredible, mass and cuts. Still his body was athletic and no distended stomach like today.
The picture below is from the day he died, look at the way his face looked,I took it at Pro Grand Prix in Den-Haag Holland, you also can see Sarcev, Thorne and Steve Brisbois.
